Chapter One

My Encounter with the Host of Heaven

The word of God also proclaims that angels are full of strength. One angel came and discomfit those creatures or demon-like structures. The Lord will fight all your battles in His own way in Jesus’ name!

Bless the Lord, Ye His angels that excel in strength, that do His commandments hearkening unto the voice of His word. Psalm 103:20

…The angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from the just. Matthew 13:49

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in Heaven. Matthew 22:30

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. Hebrews 12:22

Then the devil leaveth Him, and behold angels came and ministered unto Him. Matthew 4:11

The battles of my life were majorly in dreams. The subconscious world is beyond human explanations. It’s a realm where one is exists without consciousness and at times the events that happen there finds there way into the physical like the story of the baker and the butler in Genesis Chapter 40.

Well, it was a rough season for me but God gave a promise in Isaiah 43:2 that He will be with me. On one of these occasions in 2003, while I was in the dream of the night, in the physical, the then NEPA had turned off the power supply and so all electrical appliances such as light and fan were off.

It was late already and there was no need to put on the generator. Suddenly, I experienced the movement and confrontation of demons or powers in human form, they were many and of short stature, about the height of our bed.

They gathered around me in that dream and were about to deal with me when I jumped out of the dream to discover that the atmosphere in the room was thick and tense. Sensing the powers in the room, I muttered I am tired of these every night battles,  and Jehovah, the Man of War heard it.

While I made effort to move my left leg to touch my husband so that he can rise up to pray while I went back to sleep because several nights had passed and I had not rested due to battles with these forces.

As I was about to move the leg, to touch him, I noticed the leg was suspended and there was a stepping in of a mighty strange being with wings that blew air as if a fan had been put on in the highest velocity.

The wings touched the bed and I knew he was in a battle with the little creatures until seven minutes later when I regained movement of my leg.

I still went ahead to wake my husband even though I could feel the diffusion of the previously tensed atmosphere. I knew an angel of war stepped in from the heavens and battled in my favour.

I must at this point say there is no reason we should pray to angels but to God. He alone determines how He chooses to fight our battles. The Bible says that Angel Gabriel was sent from God in Luke 1:26

And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee named Nazareth.

Another point to note is that the angel's name that came was not released. So it is important to avoid addressing angels with names.

And knowing the name of an angel is not the prerequisite for one's visitation or miracle.

Little wonder why one angel destroyed twenty-three thousand people in one day!

Neither let us commit fornication as some of them committed and fell in one day twenty-three thousand . 1 Corinthians 10:8.

To confirm the above angelic visitation; later that day, I was sharing with the President of Women of Vision International Ministry, Pastor (Mrs.) Elizabeth Omoike of my experience and she asked me when the incident occurred and I told her about 2:00 am in the early hours of a Wednesday.

She shouted, So, you were the one we prayed for!. Tuesday was the regular vigil time then for a group of Power House brethren, and she said I could confirm from any of the members of the group. According to her, the Lord told her that there was a member in the ministry going through a serious battle and that they should pray for instant divine help for her.

After the prayers, the Lord opened her eyes to see an angel inside a parachute coming from Heaven, but after a point, it looked as if the speed by which the parachute was descending was not enough for the angel so the angel jumped out of the moving device and stepped into the battle to meet up the urgency of the need on ground.

I confirmed to her that it was the jump that brought in physical gust of wind in my bedroom. What a mighty God we serve! God will step into your battle in Jesus’ name! Amen!

Another significant encounter with an angel in the physical was when I misplaced my eye clinic card and my ear ring at the salon where I went to make my hair. Apparently, that was the most expensive ear ring I had then around year 2001.

I listened to Bishop Aremu of Winners Chapel. In his testimony, he shared how he misplaced the original copy of his C of O (Certificate of Occupancy) where he went to make a photocopy. He went back to the business center and could not locate it. According to him, they searched everywhere at home but to no avail and he asked God for the recovery of that certificate.
