The Prize

If I hadn’t realized that going to this event was a bad idea before I stepped into the foyer, I realize it as soon as I remove my coat.

A thin little man with the eyes of a weasel looks up and down my Dior gown. This is a leather-only affair, he sniggers.

I’m starting to pull my coat back over my shoulders when a perky little redhead, dressed in only a leather bikini, nudges the Weasel aside. "Relax dearie, it’s a charity event. You can buy anything."

Redhead leads me past the Weasel, and the much larger man who appears to be with him, into a room filled with all manner of leather—skirts, corsets, bustiers, pants, shorts, whips, cuffs, collars—accessories of every description.
