CHAPTER 1
Three weeks after the encounter back in Whitby, finally the situation had calmed down enough for Dylan Meyers to focus on other things, and not only the case of the Police Chief of Whitby utterly destroying all of Cassandra Evans’s Purity. He was thoroughly trapped in the post arrest cases, trying his best not to reveal too much to people, dodging various reporters and most of all running through all making sure that there was nothing else that would cause a repeat of the incident.
Cassandra had been taken to a hospital in the nearby city of Darlington. There she was going to receive all sorts of treatment from psychological to physiological to return her to her original state, as she was before the entire incident took place. Shaking his head, Dylan sighed as he fiddled around with his key, opening up the room to his apartment as he entered inside and looked around. He didn’t know what he was expecting as it was still the same apartment building that he stayed in, having no one as company to stay with him. Placing the keys inside of his drawer right beside the door, Dylan removed his blazer jacket and hooked it up on a nearby coat hanger, not even bothering to slump down on the couch. He needed a bath, and then he needed some sleep. It had been evading him for the past few days or so, with the horrific encounter back in Whitby becoming National News.
It was still early in the evening, hardly 5 PM, but he didn’t have the energy to stay awake till a reasonable time. His head was starting to ache, his body was starting to ache and soon enough his eyes were drooping down. Quickly taking a small shower, he didn’t care wearing any clothes and simply made sure his apartment was locked and secured so he had all the privacy he needed before slumping into bed, asleep within seconds.
In that state though, no one would have any idea what was going to happen by midnight, and how the things were going to change.
At the same time, around 5:30 PM, in the station known as London King’s Cross, there was a man standing on the platform. He was wearing a blue coloured button up suit, blue pants and had a blue coloured hat on top of his head as well. He was looking down at the watch on his hand and then looking upwards, waiting for people to come in and board the train, that was about to leave within seconds.
Spotting the last person, at least that was what he believed the man running towards the train was, he waited for the man to quickly board the train, and then pressed a button on his watch, getting inside the second to last compartment on the train himself, and pressed a button that was on the wall beside the door. As if it was magic, there was a ding sound heard, and all the automatic doors in the train suddenly closed down as the sound of a nice horn was heard all throughout the station.
The train, of Golden Hind Train, was going to leave from London and going to go all the way to Newcastle in the span of 3 and a half hours. The Conductor sighed as he turned around and grabbed a pad and a strange device.
Good evening Mr. Davis.
The Conductor looked up at a service boy. He was wearing a black coloured vest, black tie, white shirt and black pants, and had golden eyes. The boy looked young, perhaps in his early 20’s.
Good evening John.
Davis nodded, getting himself ready and making sure he was up in his top shape. How are you this fine evening? Nothing too troublesome I hope.
No sire, nothing true troublesome.
John shook his head. "We have a full train this time around, surprisingly on a weekday. The Engineer says it is going to be a nice and smooth trip, or so he hopes.
Well experience has told me that train rides tend to vary in their smoothness. Sometimes they are extremely smooth, sometimes they are horrible.
Davis said, going towards the doors that would lead him towards the different compartments of the Train. I’ll be on my way then.
Yes sir, I’ll be following with the towels and the first of the snacks just as you’re done.
John nodded. Davis entered the compartments to check the tickets of everyone, making sure that there was nothing wrong going on. As a Conductor it was also his job to make sure everyone was properly seated in their seats and not roaming around here and there. He wasn’t surprised to find 3 to 4 people out of their seats and beside their families, while the seat’s actual owners found themselves in the seats that didn’t belong to them. At first he just wanted to
