The Power of the Mighty Is Balance: A Poetic Philosophical Rendition
()
About this ebook
Philosophical poetry is probably the simplest description that can be attached to this book. It contains an image of what the author considers the attributes of humankind. Segments of the image which consist of the Intellect, the Soul, the Physical, the Emotions, the Conscious, and the Body, have associative poetry as if each segment is speaking. Many of the poems are thought provoking, and to assist in the thinking process, there is photography that relates to the poetry as well as a section after each poem for personal comments or notes. The final section is written in prose to give emphasis to the steps to balance and becoming one of the mighty.

Acknowledgements
I would like to thank my wife for the inspiration to put words to paper, and for the conversations that generated thoughts which led to some deep thinking and meditation on a level that without her would not have been possible. It is also those daily tasks for which I have no appreciation that she performs and has made my life livable for which I thank her. She has been my assistant, my reader, my confident, my friend, my companion, and most importantly, my soul mate.
This acknowledgement cannot be complete with thanking all those that have come before and made it possible for this document, including generational pedigree voices from the past that linger in my head from time to time.
THE POWER OF THE MIGHTY IS BALANCE
Prologue
There are many today searching for balance in their lives. This Balance
can mean many different things for many different people. For some, it may mean working out a balance between their work and home life. For others, it may mean working out a balance between weight loss and diet, and exercise, or working out a balance of time between a spouse and the children, or family and spouse, or family and friends, or self and others, or sleep and awake fullness, or grades and study. It seems that there is always something we are trying to balance, if not something driven by our own needs, then it is driven by the demands of others.
As we work on our balance, we find that complications arise because once we have worked out the equation to get the balance we desire in one area (if we ever do), then we find that we need balance within another area of the balanced equation. For instance, if we have reached a balance between our work life and our home life, we may find that our home life is out of balance and we have to strike another equation between how much time to dedicate to the kids versus house cleaning, or a spouse, or at play.
We can say that life is a constant battle to balance the external factors of our lives because we face this enemy ever day. In the end, we give up and either get another job, or a divorce, or retire on the job, or we never strive to extend ourselves beyond mediocrity in anything that
