Introduction

I am excited to share Hymns to the Beloved with you. The poems came to life because I asked myself a very important question; does a sacred and intimate relationship really exist?

I wondered if it was possible to bring forth into the world a relationship that reflects a divine union, attracting a soul mate that would wholeheartedly and soulfully unite with who I am. After years of failed attempts at having a fulfilling relationship, I had almost lost all hope that a deeper love was possible. Yet somehow, even through the ups and downs of love, I felt in my heart that my twin flame existed.

Then it dawned on me - I can write to him now as if he was alive. I can cultivate love inside me even if he has not yet manifested in my life. This is how the hymns were born; they are addressed to a lover I did not know with the goal that one day I would be reunited with my beloved in flesh.

One by one, the poems appeared. The words emerged gently in my consciousness as if they had a life of their own, and I recorded them diligently in a journal. Over the period of a few months I had gathered
