The great I Am who is the one true God and Savior Jesus Christ never changes in an ever changing world. The book Blessings Abound is dedicated to Jesus Christ to whom every knee will bow. Romans 14:11 NIV ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’ This Scripture reference is prophetic and yet to be fulfilled!

A life lived for the Lord Jesus Christ is an adventurous thrilling life, filled with surprises because according to Philippians 4:19 NIV And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Have you ever been guilty of playing Savior in someone’s life by trying to meet all their needs? One day God spoke to me and said, You’re playing Savior in _______ life. (I will not disclose the name of the person.) I responded, What do you mean Lord? And He reminded me of Philippians 4:19. Immediately I understood what the Lord God meant. Playing Savior meant the person had no need to cry out to God for HELP! When the Lord God chooses to speak to me, He desires for me to be obedient. I agreed with God by admitting my unknown sin and sought His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 NIV If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I know Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Lord of the world. Only the Lord God knows the true needs of any person. Although parents are often surprised to discover impending birth, your life was not a surprise to the Lord God. Psalms 139:13-16 NIV For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in that secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Nuggets of Truth: God created my inmost being; He knit me together in mother’s womb. I praise God for being fearfully and wonderfully made; God’s works are wonderful. God saw my frame made in the secret place. I was woven together in the depths of the earth; His eyes saw my unformed body. Every day I will live has been ordained by God, before my life even started! Now, that’s security! Do you know the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords who is Jesus Christ? He knows you; in fact He knows your name! John 10:3b;4b NIV He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. Nuggets of Truth: God calls my name and He leads. I follow Him because I know His voice. John 10:14 NIV I am the Good Shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. Nuggets of Truth: Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. He knows me and I know Him. As Dr. Charles Stanley says, Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him. When I told my husband, Lynn that I was writing a book, he remarked, Oh! I said, You’re about as excited as a post. Then I started laughing. Immediately Psalms 139:4 NIV came to my mind Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. Nuggets of Truth: God knows the words I will speak before it ever comes out of my mouth.

Ponder the names of Jesus and the significance of these names to your own life because spiritual principles apply and affect your own life whether you accept them or not. It’s a given from the Author of Life. Consider the principle of sowing and reaping, it’s a powerful tool as it relates to farming, gardening, and life in general. Galatians 6:7-8 NIV Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Nuggets of Truth: (1) I will not be deceived, (2) God cannot be mocked; (3) I will sow by pleasing the Spirit to reap eternal life. Just think about deliberately sowing flower seeds and then dandelion seeds take flight depositing their seeds into your flower bed. The end result is flowers mixed with dandelions and eventually the dandelions will overcome the flowers unless the dandelion flowers are dug out or sprayed with a chemical to kill the dandelion flowers from reseeding. Likewise, what thoughts do I plant in my mind? What thoughts do I entertain in my mind? 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Nugget of Truth: I am responsible for the thoughts I allow into my mind. Choose to recognize the source of the thoughts; my own, satan, or Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord. Decide to refuse allowance of all lies. If I detect a lie, then replace the lie with the Truth. Why is replacing the lie with the Truth imperative? James 1:13-15 NIV When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desires, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown gives birth to death. Nuggets of Truth: Thoughts lead to godly or ungodly desires, subsequently leading to an action path toward a sin-less filled life=serving Jesus Christ=Eternal Life
