About this ebook

One beautiful commando defends Earth from its most lethal alien enemy while she is surreptitiously betrayed and set-up to die. "When I became a wo-man, I put away childish things." - I Corinthians 13:11

"THE WILES OF VELA KURV" is the story about a strong, sexy, smart woman who could save her world, a world not to dissimilar from Earth today. The story starts at birth and progresses to her young adulthood. She develops supernatural abilities through genetics and exposure to alien DNA as a fetus and this causes an abandonment of love from the one person she adores as a child, her father. Because of her gifts Lorabella Kurv Wiles must become the deliverer of mankind and the keeper of the timeline. Because of the life Lorabella chooses, her nemesis lies in wait for revenge. As a secret agent, a girl becomes a woman. She investigates how to fight against invading aliens. During the hunt, a deal is struck to kill her, but only after the completion of her mission. Her maturation and battle culminates into a passionate love affair with the one person she can trust, Dr. Dan Gibson Val Demure. The story is a seductive, science fiction tale of the struggle for the survival of the planet Earth.

    DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to my father, Wilbur McKesson Sr. who endlessly loves me and to my brother, Cedric McKesson who believes in me tirelessly and calls me every day to remind me. To my dear friend Linda McCullough whose beautiful photography helped my characters find their voice; please visit her website and see her work, (http://lindammccullough.com). Linda is an accredited actress and performer, so she really knows how to stage the emotion in a scene.

To my cousin Michelle McKesson, Esq. who read my many drafts, came to my readings, and pushed me to keep the faith. To my older brother, Wilbur McKesson, Jr. who offered me relentless guidance and support, your efforts helped me find my voice. To my cousin Fred Jeff Smith, Master of Divinity, and my dear friend Demita Usher, both of which have a collected knowledge of a theological encyclopedia, I thank you for the banter.

To my cousin Kevin McKesson, Esq., who doesn’t like science fiction, but still lent his support. To my uncle and aunt, Winston and Frankie McKesson for just loving me, you are unyieldingly wonderful; and to my dear friends Janice Reese, Darrell Williams, Jan Suzukawa, Clark Smith, A.G. Melkom, and Suzanne Iselt who just kept pushing me and wouldn’t let me give up. Thank you all for your steadfast support. I couldn’t have designed a better support group.

    CONSTELLATION VELA

The Solar System consists of the Sun and the celestial objects connected to it by gravity. These objects are the eight known planets to man on Earth. There are one hundred and sixty six known moons, five dwarf planets, and billions of small bodies. The small bodies include asteroids, comets, meteoroids, and interplanetary dust.

For many thousands of years, humanity, with a few notable exceptions, did not recognize the existence of the Solar System. They believed the Earth to be stationary at the centre of the universe and categorically different from the divine or ethereal objects that moved through the sky.

A flow of plasma from the Sun (the solar wind) permeates the Solar System. This creates a bubble in the interstellar medium known as the heliosphere, which extends out to the middle of the scattered disc. Out here hidden in the void is the Constellation Vela, created by a supernova.

On average, supernovae occur about once every fifty years in a galaxy the size of the Milky Way. They play a significant role in enriching the interstellar medium with higher mass elements. Furthermore, the expanding shock waves from supernova explosions can trigger the formation of new stars.

A supernova is a stellar explosion. They are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy before fading from view over several weeks or months however in the story of the Constellation Vela, it is years. During this interval, a supernova can radiate as much energy as the Sun could emit over its life span. The explosion expels much or all of a star’s material at a velocity of up to a tenth the speed of light, driving a shock wave into the surrounding interstellar medium. This shock wave sweeps up an expanding shell of gas and dust called a supernova remnant.

The Vela supernova remnant resides in the southern Constellation Vela. Its source supernova exploded approximately eleven thousand to twelve thousand years ago (and was about eight hundred light years away).

In order of their distances from the Sun, there are eight known to man, three unknown to man, and one interstellar plane that exists both inside and outside the void; the three unknown are blocked by The One. They rank as follows: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Eden, Galleon, and Epiphany.

Beyond the Solar System, through the interstellar plane is a void in space known as the place of eternal happiness. This is the ultimate spatial void where super-beings exist. Here lies the answer to the fullness of being alive and whole. Outside the void sits the firmament, an expanse of space and finally, more stars against a black sky. The void is divided by a clouded purple veil to an inner court as two clouded figures converse. The One is supported by the many that serve it. All of life is accountable to The One and his appeal one-on-one is absolute. His quest is to give and oversee the use of free will. This being is the embodiment of all creation. The One is dark and light, with hair that is blonde and black, his eyes are every color of the rainbow, and he is attractive to everyone in existence in every way. His appeal is absolute and his voice invites every ear to listen. He converses with his son, the King, Sebastian.

Sebastian rules with The One. Sebastian is luminous and so beautiful, that no one can turn away once they see his face. Sebastian is tall, earnest, with a mind of steel focus. His eyes are warm, his lips are full, and he has a gorgeous mane of voluminous hair. The One loves Sebastian above all others, he is the opposite of protocol, and he is eternally faithful and committed to his Father. The One instructs Sebastian, Epiphany and Earth below will pass away, unless a new path can been uncovered. It is time to save our creations from the threat that comes.

This is a sore subject for Sebastian, one discussed many times before, one he doesn’t want to take on. His allegiance to The One is eternal but his quest to take on this task of deliverance is not one that he embraces. Sebastian asks, Isn’t there another way? Why should I have to leave? My allegiance has been unwavering and my work here remains weighted, as well. Besides, it’s Ramses and the Travelers that cause the ensuing battles on Epiphany.

The war will leave the interstellar plane. Eden and Galleon are already on the verge, warns The One. But first attention must be paid to Earth and Epiphany. They must survive as states of free will, they must not be conquered. The promise that tethers their existence cannot be broken.

It is Vela that is threatened then? She embodies the promise for all of eternity?

Ramses materializes. He is the prodigal son created by The One. Ramses plotted to unseat Sebastian and tear him apart from The One along with those that serve him. He is dark, foreboding, and ruthless. He is the pivotal ruler of his own followers, the Travelers. He mercilessly attempts to destroy Sebastian’s Seeker alliance, which has waged a long and desperate war to free Epiphany from Ramses’ evil clutches. The war goes on, despite the human evacuation from the planet.

Ramses plays an ethereal type of music with a large organ embedded inside of his chest. It is part of him. The music is so darkly beautiful, it soothes and it irritates the peaceful nature of life.

Ramses has long piercing black hair and is reticent to all except Sebastian or The One, with transfixed eyes of ornate gold. He is bad boy handsome; with a stately physique to match his good looks. He has the kind of charm that pulls in anyone listening even though they sense, he’s up to no good.

Ramses accuses The One, Why is Sebastian the chosen one? It’s always about your precious little creatures.

The One is annoyed, Ramses, you were not invited to this conversation. One waves a hand in an arc like gesture, to dismiss him.

Ramses vanishes in a flash of purple light but his words reach Sebastian’s ears. One day my heir will threaten your very existence. He will end all of your trepidation. As it is written, it will be done.

The One directs without hesitation. His transition from the heated threats of Ramses to the instructional guide for his treasured son, Sebastian, is without a quip in his agedly strong and even voice. I will send Artisan to help prepare the way.

Sebastian informs The One defensively, The war still ravages between Travelers and Seekers. You take away Artisan and me; you leave the Seekers without fair footing.

The One responds sternly, I know what I am doing, neither of you will be without refuge. But a second chance is in order, so that life might continue for everyone. You and Vela will embody the future of man

With the sweep again of The One’s hand, Sebastian immediately falls backwards as gravity no longer obeys his command. He falls from the expansive void of space, down through miles of stars, planets, moons, and constellations.

    In space, loads of purple
