Diary Of A Wimpy Noob - Nooby Lee
Entry #1
D on't you remember anything?
asked the lady sitting in front of me.
Not really,
I replied, my memories are all jumbled up.
Do you remember me at least?
I vaguely remember seeing you,
I said, but I'm finding it extremely difficult to hold on to my memories. Why is this happening to me?
I had just started noticing everything around me. It was a hospital room of some sort. The lady in front of me was dressed like a nurse. Strange liquids in small glass containers lined the shelves.
I suppose you don't remember your name either,
sighed the nurse.
Of course I remember my name,
I declared.
Well, then what is it?
It is... well...
I couldn't believe it. It was at the tip of my tongue, but for some strange reason, I just couldn't recollect my name.
Look, you've been through a lot. I've seen cases like this before. A severe blow to the head can result in acute memory loss,
she explained, your injuries have been treated. You'll be discharged from the hospital within a week.
Where should I go?
I asked innocently.
The nurse seemed quite amused.
I suggest you see a psychiatrist immediately,
she said, there's one right here in this hospital. He can help you regain your memories.
She stood up and walked to the door.
I almost forgot,
she said turning back, a young man stopped by the hospital yesterday. He asked me to give you this letter.
She handed me a sealed envelope before leaving the room. I ripped it open and took out a neatly folded piece of paper. I read the letter aloud to myself.
"Dear Noob,
We need you here as soon as possible. You're the only one who has seen it happen. I can't believe they went so far to hide the truth. I have paid your hospital bill. You can worry about recovering from your injuries later. Meet me in the parking lot at the Crane Site. I'm going to say it again, WE NEED YOU RIGHT NOW!
Your friend,
Nathan."
I didn't understand what this person was talking about. The only thing I could decipher from the letter was that my name was 'Noob'. Something very concerning was at stake here. I wished the letter had contained a little more information.
I rushed out of the room with the letter clutched in my right hand. I caught up to the nurse who was about to walk into a nearby elevator.
You shouldn't be out of bed,
she said, you haven't fully recovered yet.
Where is the Crane Site?
I asked disregarding her statement.
What are you talking about?
she asked with a puzzled expression on her face.
I showed her the letter.
He's referring to Roblox,
she said.
What is Roblox?
I asked.
It's funny to hear you ask that question,
chuckled the nurse, you were a Roblox player before you sustained that head injury. Nathan seems to be asking you to get back into the Phantom Forces server. I don't recommend it.
I think I'll do it,
I said, perhaps it will help me recover my identity.
It's too dangerous,
remarked the nurse, you need to wait for the doctor.
While Nathan's letter was urging me to dive into the Roblox universe as soon as possible, it seemed much more sensible to wait for the doctor's report. After all, I didn't even know if I could trust this man, though his name did sound familiar. I cursed my luck and walked back to my room.
The doctor entered the room after a while. It was late in the evening and the dull orange sunlight streamed in through the window.
Hello, I am Doctor Lawson. The nurse told me that you wanted to leave immediately,
said the doctor, I don't have any objections. It seems like you have an important matter to attend to.
How do I get back into Roblox?
I asked.
That shouldn't be a problem,
said the doctor, "I'm a Roblox player too. I can get you back in there without any issues. Surviving there, however, is another matter entirely. I'm not responsible for anything that
