UNOE ADNVDO SOQUILI

Osiyo, gineli, (hello, friend in Cherokee). I am Native American; lineage Cherokee, Choctaw, and Creek. My ancestors, the Sumptors and the Wilsons, are on the Dawes Roll, which is a census for keeping track of the Native Americans when the white man took the land and put them on reservations. With the help of a friend in the Red Nation Society, we researched back to the early 1700s, but the Dawes Roll did not actually become documented until the 1800s. I was raised by the white man’s ways. My parents are both deceased now. Daddy was a great storyteller; Mother was strict and very old school, but not in the ways of the Native American. I am very proud of my lineage, and I am also a Virgo, so I am a strong, independent, but passionate person. I hope all who read my first novel will enjoy it and not be offended in the context it is written. I am a very blunt lover. And I believe the person reading my work will see that it was written with much passion. Unoe Adnvdo Soquili—in Cherokee, this is how my name would appear. Thunder Spirit the Horse. Wado (thank you) to all those who find my book enjoyable.

    Dedication

To my sissy Debs, I love you with all my heart. Thanks for always being there for me through thick and thin. Your loyalty, respect, and integrity astound me.

To Kat (deceased), I love you and miss you every day. Your heart just couldn’t take all the heartache from not being loved.

To Walter, my dear gineli, thanks for all the long talks and inspiration. I love you.

To my warrior, thanks for all your caring, support, and love.

To Jim, thanks for spending long nights with me on the computer cheering me up, your concern, and for caring about me.

All those whom I have mentioned above are my online extended family and very dear friends. They will always be in my heart and will never know how much it has meant to me that they were always there across the miles. We became family.

We may never meet, but in my heart all of you have great hearts/soul/spirits… I love you all.

    Introduction

This is a story about a woman, a Native American woman, whose life has been without human passion for many years. Yet in her heart, soul, spirit, and body, she still feels and needs the fulfillment of being held, being wanted, being touched by a man. Her husband of more than twenty years has not given this to her. In the language of her people, her name is Wind.

Wind has tried many times to discuss this with her husband. He had some health issues about five years ago, and the distance between them has gotten more profound. Wind will not leave this man, for they have only a tight bond of friendship now. She also knows that if she leaves, he might have another relapse due to stress, and she would never forgive herself.

They still care for and love one another, but not in the way a man would love a woman if he were in love with her. So they live together, own a home together, and travel together, like before, but when night comes, Wind waits for her dreams of passion. This is where she meets her lovers in passion, desire, and lust. She is a beautiful, desirable
