About this ebook

Clouded by the highs of falling in love or the lows of being alone, these moments in life are so intense it becomes near impossible to appreciate or explore the beauty and romance in even the most tragic of events. Kyle Stockill stepped back from such moments to reflect upon them and add them to this collection. Whether it be love lost or found, moments of passion and regret, a persons internal conflict, or the desire to self-destruct, each poem is written in such vivid detail it pulls you back into not just the intense emotions felt but every painstakingly beautiful moment. From personal favorites like Always and My Heroine to fan favorites like Caves and Kiss from a Rose, each poem captures a unique perspective, the echoes of the mind.

Kyle Stockill

Kyle Stockill was born on February 1, 1989, in Timmins, Ontario, and he attends Niagara College in Welland, Ontario. Kyle plans to continue his education to the postgraduate level, as he has aspirations to eventually become a clinical psychologist. Beginning at a young age, Kyle developed a deep interest in the human mind and the way we behave in response to intense emotions. As a child, adolescent, and now a young adult, Kyle has been in search of an explanation of human behavior, as well as some sort of personal, emotional release. This search has come to fruition in his writing of short poems and stories. A big fan of darker poetry and music, Kyle’s works are generally a way for him to grapple with the darker aspects of humanity while exploring his own personal demons.

    A message from Kyle

Although this collection talks about some dark issues and actions

I do not encourage any harm to one’s self or to anyone else, even when times get tough.

I hope these stories will help you during these times to understand that there are others that feel the same and

that you can get through it.

    Sincerely enjoy.

    ReALITY

I feel it from the tips of my toes

As it builds up I’m ready to explode

Each word I hear is another shot against the wall

Blowing off some steam by blowing up this world

As it crumbles down around me I see you, the inspiration for it all

When I’m taking my shots it’s you I see against the wall

Down against the floor you fall, in my head

I can’t explain what it’s like to wish you were dead

All I know is that I’m as ready as I will be to be what I am whatever that is

Doesn’t matter I guess you see what you want to, and I’m not even me to you

It’s like I’m a ghost, you see through what is right in front of you

I’m larger than life to u and I feel the weight of world

I’d love to toss it off so I can remember what it was like to be free of these
