‘Something to Say’
After a long wrestle, the mother-nature has taught me the secret of bliss and beauty. I have seen the real Nepal from the very proximity. The easiest way of flourishing Nepalese economy and lifestyle shall be enhancement of tourism because the magnificent product is already ready—gifted by nature. Therefore, with the vision of care, share and grow together I want to produce efficient human resources in Nepalese tourism so that they can mother our country with immense sincerity. In pursuit of prudent citizen, a compilation of a hand book is at your hand which is the accumulation of my experiences. This book is dedicated to those who love Nepal by heart.
Proud of myself, luckiest person to be born in Nepal because there are very few place in the world where the God has gifted beautiful creation of nature like in Nepal. Travelers have chosen the most delightful destination. And, millions of people in and out of the world are involved in tourism trade of Nepal. Tourism can be the serene solution of entire development of Nepal. That is why, tourism has been considering as the back bone of Nepalese economy and the impact of the tourism is predominantly positive; it has created jobs, enriched lives of people, contributed to a better understanding of different cultures and developed fraternity. It is a sensitive hospitality industry and must follow code of ethics; cares well being of people, preservation of culture and the gift to the future generation.
Inspired by mother-nature, I have been involving in tourism since 1992. I considered myself as tourism is one of the vast fields to plunge. This book might not be enough for understanding unless you plunge and acquire real experience yourself because reading a book only cannot make you swimmer. You need to interact with the local people, walk in the mountain rugged trails and discover / adore the beauty of nature yourself. I have just attempted to show the real Nepal, importance of Tourism in Nepal and its challenges. This handbook shall be useful for travelers visiting Nepal, travel & tourism related offices and students. In this task, all the errors are sole mine and wish to receive sincere comments.
Eventually, I express my sincere gratitude to Gorakhnath Welfare Trust for inspiration, and my respected father Mr. Yadav Prasad Shrestha and mother Laxmi Shrestha for kindling me to compile this book. I anticipate, this book shall leave an ideal foot-print in the history of Nepalese tourism and contribute with immense vivacity.
… In pursuit of beautiful Nepal
Background
Nepal is a beautiful country with lofty mountains, pristine nature, mesmerizing monuments, typical culture and festivals. Sincere smiles of Nepalese people can evoke the beauty of slow pace of life. No matter how hard is the life but Nepalese people take it easy; they do not shun and call it with hard names. This is what the foreigners have to learn from us. And, surely they have learnt ‘ simplicity is the beginning of nature and the last of an art".
Nepal stands as a unique destination for nature, culture and adventure. It is one of the most favorite destinations for mountaineers, trekkers and nature lover. I have been receiving emails from many friends saying Nepal is so natural and insatiable and visiting your country once is not enough
Definitely, magnificent snow-caped Himalayan range, top of the world Mt Everest, The birthplace of Lord Buddha—Lumbini, trekking through undulating landscape, rafting in raging rivers, Jungle safari in wilderness, pristine nature and enjoying typical festival and culture has surely allured foreigners.
No doubt, Nepal is a treasure trove of culture and nature. But, unfortunately, Nepalese people are compelled to wrestle wreck life just because of irresponsible leaders and ill-governance. It is somewhat like Kuber (God of wealth) begging sitting on a treasure pot. Now, I urge all the readers to be responsible and serve mother Nepal with utmost perseverance and sincerity.
Our tourism products are incomparable to any destinations in the entire world. The sacred culture and tradition hidden from the outside world is our eminent treasure. The potentiality of tourism in Nepal is incredible. Foreigners want to befriend among the people who know the Way of Living
and discover the beautiful bliss and eternal peace. Nepal has been the dreamland of the tourists for a long time. She invites, welcomes, charms and bewilders the visitors. Those who have already visited Nepal cherish and desire for the second visit and those who have heard or read about the kingdom—make plan to visit the country. This proves the charm and cherish about our country.
Eventually, the miserable situation; bleeding of the mountain and weeping of Buddha made me to prepare this book. I thought the only way to develop Nepal is through educating people and fostering Nepalese tourism.
