Congratulations on purchasing The No. 1 Way to Prospect and thank you for doing so.
The following chapters will discuss ways that you are going to be able to get new business through prospecting. Prospecting is going to be done before you are able to do any follow ups on seeing if your initial connection to the client was successful and lead to a new sale or not. There are different methods that you are going to be able to use as well as things that you should not do when it comes to prospecting, or else you are going to end up losing your business.

Chapter one: Prospecting – What is it?
What prospecting is was briefly touched on in the introduction. When you are prospecting, you are working towards the end goal of getting potential prospects into a sale so that they become a customer that generates revenue for you.
There are some people that do not understand what the difference is between a lead and a prospect. A lead is going to be someone who is a potential customer that has to show some sort of interest in your company or the services that you offer. This can be someone who has visited your website, subscribed to your newsletter, or anything that has gotten them looking into your company.
A prospect is going to be someone who is not a lead but is most likely going to become a customer. These are the people that you target to get them interested in your company. These are the people who have not had any interaction with your company, and if they have, then they have had limited interaction.
Ultimately, your goal is going to be the same as a lead or a prospect; you are going to want to get them to be a customer for your company.
Here is the funnel that you are going to follow to try and get a potential customer to be an actual customer.
Step one: do your research and see if you should follow the lead or let it go.
