AUDREY
Tune - Bicycle Built for Two
Audrey, Audrey, tell us its really so
Does Tom always provide you with plenty of dough?
We know he has cash a plenty
and that is not a pity,
and with the Cash clan all around,
You’re the happiest Grannie in town.
Tom, Tom, tell us its really true,
Audrey has always been loyal, kind and true.
You may not have been a Caesar,
but you have always teased her,
and now you know it’s very so,
She’s keeping you on the go.

OLE JOHN BEATTY
Tune - Old King Cole
Now, ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
He teaches Sunday School and the Golden Rule and seeks the Man of Galilee.
Now ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
He studies and studies till he finds the right clue and then tells the class what to do.
Now ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
He does very well - we can surely tell, when he starts to preach about hell.
Now ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
He teaches and preaches about giving your dough and the things a Christian should be.
Now ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
Not only does he teach but he eats and he eats, particularly when the food is free.
Now ole John Beatty is a good ole man and a good ole man is he.
If you question what we say and really want to see, come visit his class next Sunday.

TO BROWN EYES
It was years ago, you see, in North Carolina
where I met a girl, there could be no one finer.
This beautiful brunette, had a lovely smile, dimples too,
But it was those big brown eyes that got me through and through.
When first we met, I did not want to linger
I really was concerned, let no ring be upon her finger.
I never will forget when walking down the hall,
With no ring upon her finger, I felt like going to a ball.
Then, things were going great, but ole Uncle Sam, he called
Sending me overseas, and delaying my attending any ball.
My first concern, when at last I did return
Was to see if the light in her heart did still burn.
Thereafter, it was not long until I surely found
No place on earth would I be happy, unless she were around.
And when she said yes
I thus ended my quest,
So now my days are all filled with the best.
It was not very long til Greg came our way
and then came Keith, in a June one day.
We’re proud of these boys, they mean a lot to us.
We wish them well on all their trails to reach the uppercrust.
God surely did bless us in a mighty big way
When He sent us these boys - we thank Him when we pray.

WHO AM I?
After I was conceived in the womb I could only remain,
to live or die as my mother ordained.
As an infant I cannot determine whether I live or die,
I have the means - only to cry.
As a child it was evident to me,
it was my parents who determined if I would continue to be.
No power on earth or government stand,
could ever compare
to loving care
of parental hands.
Though some animals devour their infant litter,
many years ago children realized
no human would such a thought consider.
But this day and age we shudder
to think of the deviant mother
who aborts her child as a heartless lover.
Now our children are faced with tragic doubt,
what if my parents were to cast me out?
I am totally helpless and entirely under their control,
they could abuse or kill me and I’d vanish from the fold.
May God have mercy on this human race,
when we desecrate his creation by destroying a baby’s face.
Thomas W. Adams, 5/6/1997
BETRAYED
Is this what I have been? By leaders and politicians so corrupt with sin?
It was many, many years ago, when I was born in this land.
My parents were poor, if gold and silver were standards you demand.
But they had the blessing of good health
and a government which took only a small portion of their wealth.
Industrious, hard working and for others they did care.
My father financed a neighbor’s crop one year,
even though our cupboard was bare.
As a child I was critical inside of his generous act,
but I was also proud of a father so determined
to help a friend get back on track.
And I say to my Heavenly Father as I write this today,
henceforth, I’m willing to listen to you and write what you’d have me to say.
I must say to all as I write this just now, and my eyes fill with tears,
It is wonderful to have parents who love each other through all of their years.
But this declaration is not about the lifestyle my parents did portray,
it’s about my government, and I cannot now be proud of its abusive way.
I grew up believing in God, justice, honesty and truth.
These were the principles to guide me through life, beginning in youth.
Tell me my friend, as you look around you today,
Do you see much truth and honesty in what politicians say?
We seem to have lost in America, the right to choose our way.
The individual no longer can worship when he or she wants to pray.
Why, oh why! in America can we not now worship as we see fit,
but must be confined to a location of some Supreme Court edict?
And this I want to say to those sitting in this high esteemed place,
please, please be more careful how you trample on God’s amazing grace.

EARLY ONE MORNING
Early one morning, about the first week in May
I walked out the door and thought - what a beautiful day!
But I had many problems that I did not expect at this age.
Primarily determined by a government with regulatory and welfare rage.
It was just before sunrise, and as I began to walk down the street, I heard a voice saying, Acknowledge me in all thy ways and I will direct you through all of your days.
As I pondered this thought it sounded again,
In all thy ways acknowledge me and I will direct you through all your days.
Continuing my walk, the voice inside me resounded once more,
In all thy ways acknowledge me and I will direct you through all your days.
Then I determined this is what I must do,
and began to question what should be done to see this message through.
As I pondered these thoughts it became evident to me
in restaurants I had not always given thanks to God for others to see.
On that particular morning I was having breakfast with a friend,
I would commence this day with a breakfast prayer, my instructions I did comprehend.
As we sat down for breakfast - my friend was a few minutes late.
I commenced eating food which was filling my plate.
Suddenly, I realized in the middle of this meal,
I’d failed in my commitment - I felt slimy as an eel.
Oh Lord! I thought, I can’t stop now in the middle of this meal to pray,
Can’t I just put it off and not embarrass me this way?
But my Master is kind and there is another way he gently said to me,
"Tell you friend what happened this morning when I first spoke to thee.
My friend rejoiced as I shared with him this account.
He knows I acknowledged my Master - this I shall continue without any doubt.

PRAYER
Lord, Lord Thy will be done
I pray each day to follow you ’til setting of the sun.
While my life is filled with turmoil and distress,
I know that you love me and can put my problems to rest.
What more can a follower say,
Than be proud of his Master throughout every day.
There comes a time in everyone’s life,
when he must stand up and say what his Master is about.
And now this truth has reached down to me,
I no longer will turn aside -
I’ll tell it like it is and in Your truth abide.

TO PAUL SEASHOLTZ
I stopped by yesterday to chat with a friend,
Someone I have known for quite a few years.
He stays very busy throughout all the day,
Gets much done and is a Christian I’d say.
Throughout our conversation in years past,
I realized he was a good man, whose friendship would last.
But I did not know until yesterday, the depth of his soul,
He loves the Lord Jesus and his commitment is bold.
I knew as I listened at whet he had to say,
This is a man of wisdom and knew how to pray.
He analyzed me quickly, what some of my weaknesses are,
I’ll ever be grateful for such a friend,
who has become such a star.

A HUSBAND’S DEMAND
Several days ago at a meeting of Business Men’s Fellowship, USA, we heard Steve Desorobo give his testimony about drinking and gambling his life away.
I was very grateful to have Keith, my son, accompany me that day, and he seemed to be impressed with what this man had to say.
He told of life experiences as an insurance agent and also of playing poker till he didn’t have a cent.
Thereafter he determined to go to work again and soon rose to the top; but he had many problems,
including a son on drugs and a wife who talked about Jesus, seeming never to stop.
It got to the point he told his wife never to use the name Jesus around
