Many surprises await a soul after its mortal life has ended.
The Physical and the Spiritual Worlds
Every human being living in the world today exists in both the physical world and the spiritual world at the same time because each person is a spiritual being inhabiting a physical body. Under ordinary circumstances we have no perceptions of the spiritual world because we have become completely identified with the physical body since birth and preoccupied with sensory things. The Spiritual Eye that can see the spiritual realm is closed and we are blind to the realities of that other world.
The exact opposite happens after death. Upon the dissolution of the body we have no perception of the physical world but are wholly preoccupied with the spiritual world. The soul that once inhabited a body simply finds itself free from the encumbrances of its mortal nature. It becomes a disembodied spirit and all its awareness is solely of the things of the spiritual world while retaining memories of its earthly life. Just
