Notes from the Author
Firstly, I would like to stress that this is a presentation of a world that could be; not that will be. It is not intended as a criticism of any government, racial or religious group; and no offence is intended or implied.
When this novella was first constructed in 2015 it was intended as a forerunner of the Centaurean Tribes series but subsequent requests have led to this being expanded and published in its own right. Since its original inception some of the items in this have already come to pass; others will hopefully never do so.
One thing I will say however is that the strength and resiliency of the human spirit never ceases to amaze me; the ability to triumph against overwhelming odds has led us to become the dominant species on this planet and we will continue to strive to do so no matter what obstacles fate throws at us; or we manufacture for ourselves.
In addition, the human ability for us to care about our community sets us aside from large groups of the animal kingdom; and for individuals to make sacrifices to better the lot of their fellows often leaves me speechless with admiration. As a species we have an incredible capacity for folly but generally rise above it hopefully to make a better world.
The development of the United World Order is in many ways a logical development. Historically national governments have adopted a level of totalitarianism at times of war or another national emergency.
Often these powers are removed once the emergency has subsided but on a global scope this would become a lot more challenging. From an ideological point-of-view you would only release control once a stable replacement is in place. With the destruction of the previous world infrastructure that becomes very difficult even assuming there was the political will from senior representatives to step down.
I hope you appreciate this brief description of the Centaurean Tribes prequel although I should stress again that it is a work of fiction. In the meantime, please look out for the other books in the Centaurean Tribes series:

Cleansing Wars
By the year 2130 the world had undergone a century of strife and upheaval not witnessed since the middle ages. The use of fossil fuels had gradually declined in the 2020s and 30s to be replaced, in the most part, by hydrogen gas. Most motor vehicles manufactured after 2025 were able to run on a mixture of hydrogen and liquid petroleum gas.
Massive hydrogen production centres using solar power built up in southern Europe and North Africa; similar facilities appeared along the western seaboard of the United States from 2027, whilst the first such sites were commissioned in China and Australia a year later.
Japan and other nations used similar facilities but based on wind and wave power generation.
Migration of people under refugee status since the early part of the 21st century had led to the ‘First Cleansing Wars’ from 2028 until 2049. This was
