Humility Looks Good on You

About this ebook
In this era of “selfies,” where being stylish is highly prized, the one thing we often forget to clothe ourselves with is Humility. In our quest for success and recognition, humility has come to be in short supply. However, it is an eternal truth that humility precedes honor. This book is designed to show how clothing oneself in humility leads to elevation and how a lack of humility hinders. With the times we are living in, HUMILITY LOOKS GOOD ON YOU.

Acknowledgments
First, I would like to thank my heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit who gave and continues to give me greater understanding on the topic of humility. To my parents and spiritual leaders, Apostle Gildo and Cecilia Forcheney, who sowed the first seeds of humility in my life. Thank you for your prayers; I love and honor you with every fiber of my being. To my spiritual fathers Apostles Daren & Valerie Phillips, who were and are still instrumental and intentional in my spiritual development; I love you and appreciate all that you do and how you love me. To all the intercessors of Iglesia Triunfante and Christ United Church, your prayers helped to birth this book. To Apostle Sterling and Dr. Yvette Porter, who prophesied this time in my life before I ever thought about it — Thank you. To my beautiful nieces whom God has used to minister into my life, you are so special to me. To my Heaven on Earth Worship Ministries and spiritual children, thank you for your support and understanding during this labor of love; you make it easy to pastor each of you. To my entire family, if I named each of you it would be longer than my book. To my natural children Dennis Jr., Grace, Rachel and Emmanuel, who have helped to shape my posture of humility; I love you more than you could ever imagine. A special thanks to Ashita Greenwood, Dawn Hunt, Pastor Arnold McLaurin, and Dr. Glenroy Robinson. Last and certainly not least, to my wonderful and beautiful wife of 19 years, Paulette Powell. You are my everything. Thank you for staying with me through the thick and the thin. You are an inspiration to many women and to me. You are a great wife, mother, sister, daughter and a powerful woman of God. I am indebted to you until death do us part. Love you baby!
Preface
In the world that we are living in there is a rush by many to reach to the top. The idea is to get there and then bring attention to self. I must admit, I felt insecure writing on humility. I would begin to write and stop because it is not a subject talked about much and not demonstrated in the lives of many. Then the 2016 election happened, and I saw the dark side of our country, people and even churches. The Spirit began to speak clearly to write the book and call the people to return to the Word and be clothed with humility. With the times we are living in today HUMILITY LOOKS GOOD ON YOU.
Introduction
In the late 1980s, I received a prophetic word from the late Dr. Eleonora Joseph declaring that I would lead a great army into submission to the Lord. I did not understand what she was saying because, first, I did not see myself as a leader and secondly, I had limited understanding of the word submission. We oftentimes neglect to see in ourselves what God sees or even what others see. When I answered the call to shepherd God’s people in 2007, I thought it was to teach great principles in the scripture and win the lost at every cost along with other responsibilities we are commissioned to as shepherds. Little did I know, God was preparing me for the greatest breaking of my life. The greater lesson was awaiting me!
Pride can hide like a snake in the very depths of our lives and when unchecked or unopposed it can rear its ugly head, release its bite, spew venom or even asphyxiate us.
