Hi, and how are you doing?

Tiffany jumped and turned around. She was sitting in her office trying to finish five briefs, so she could go home, and enjoy tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Of course, she had nothing to do. She was going to spend another holiday alone, but it was okay. She’d face time her siblings, Amazon and Roth. She laughed because her sibling’s names were so crazy. She didn't know what her mother was thinking when she named her older brother and sister.

Hello.

Tiffany jumped again. What was she thinking? Jeff Tobias was standing in her office, and she was ignoring him. Now she was going to be fired. She could kick herself. I’m so sorry, Mr. Tobias. Please forgive me. I’m into daydreaming for some reason. What can I do for you?

It’s okay, he laughed. I’m wondering why are you still working? Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and the building is mostly empty. I even gave the security guards the day off.

Tiffany smiled. I'm just trying to complete my briefs before I leave for the day. I know I'm off tomorrow and then Friday, but I just love working. I'll be done in another hour.

I’m sorry, but you have to leave. It’s Thanksgiving, and I don’t want my employees working for the holiday. You’re just like me, and it’s time to go and see your family, and be thankful for them.

Tiffany frowned. My two siblings live in Miami, Florida, and I was going out there to see them, but I declined. I think I just want to spend Thanksgiving, giving thanks to God, and all my blessings. I have books to read, and movies to see.

Jeff frowned. I don’t want you spending time alone. You’re going to spend your Thanksgiving with my family. We have so much to be grateful for, and I want to share my family with you.

Tiffany was stunned as she stopped typing on her computer and focused on the white man. Was he for real or something? She did notice that Jeff Tobias was handsome and had the perfect green eyes. Through the office grapevine, she knew he was dating some supermodel who wanted him to propose to her before the year was out. Tiffany wasn’t prejudiced, but she didn’t want to spend time with his white family. How was she going to break the news?

Tiffany, are you okay?

Mr. Tobias, thanks for including me with your family, but I’m good. I just want to finish the rest of my briefs, and then I’ll be going home. Please don’t worry about me. Go and have fun with your family, and I’m good.

This isn’t up for discussion, Jeff snapped. I want you to go home, take a shower or bath, and relax. Change into some jeans, and flat shoes, so you can be comfortable, and then I’ll pick you up in two hours. I believe that should give you enough time to get ready. You don’t have to do that much, Tiffany. You are the most gorgeous woman in the world. I’ve seen a lot of women, but you have that deep and rooted beauty.
