INTRODUCTION
What is the cost of devaluing and shame that has unconsciously been inflicted on boys and men’s sexuality? If sex would be elevated to God’s standard, there would be a drastic drop in sexual sins. For too long, shame has been used as a powerful tool to modify a child’s sexual behavior, thus making them feel that they themselves, and their sexuality is of little value.
The intent here is to put a high calling on our sexuality because God does. The fact is, life is sexually transmitted
and I believe, according to Genesis, God literally handcrafted our sexuality. As we look into Genesis 2:7, we see where God took some ground or dust and specifically formed Adam (male) out of it. Then, when we get to Genesis 2:22, we see where God literally took the time and effort to form Eve (female) out of the rib of Adam. Then in Genesis 2:24, the two become one because it now takes the man and the woman together to begin a family. We pray that you will add God-given value to your sexuality and that this book will identify your struggles and be a blessing to you and draw you closer to God, and set you free.

KEEPING IT TO MYSELF
What is God’s twist on sex? I have asked myself this question many times as a youth dealing with sexual temptations. The only answer when I was growing up, seemed to be sex was all bad. It was something you only heard talked about in a dirty manner. I would often wonder if I was a freak and that these temptations were much stronger in me than other young men. If not, how did they suppress these desires without offending God? As I grew up, got married, and became a born-again Christian, I had forgotten about or suppressed these feelings until I was in my 40s. Then God began to deal with me about sexuality. More and more as I heard on the news about clergy that had been involved in sexual scandals and one man had been highly regarded in his community until it was discovered he had sexually abused a young person. He was arrested and in less than 24 hours after his arrest committed suicide. This indicated there are people that are hating themselves because of their sexual behavior. This brings to mind Romans 7:15 (NLT). I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.
This prompted me to ask God why, and what could we as the church do to minister to these people? Instead of just condemning them as we so often do, if God so loved the world, but we don’t, how can we claim to be godly? It is time that we put a more positive and affirming message about the biblical basis of sexuality. It is important to share my growing up days.
I felt I was loved by my parents, but I never remember being told I was loved. I never remembered seeing my parents argue, but I never saw them kissing each other either. This did not seem unusual for me, for we never saw this type of affection
