Retirement Book Camp - Your Ultimate Retirement Guide - Richard Stanton
FOREWARD
Welcome to retirement! Welcome to a new brave new transition that we all must eventually deal with – some better than others. Some may believe that people who are 65 plus years of age and are making the most out of retirement may be few in number but in actuality they are all over and not because they are the chosen ones. It is because they have decided once not to live in denial.
Living in denial is something that has destroyed so many people socially, psychologically and mentally. For many people who would love to ensure that everything is going as planned and that they will always be victorious in one way or the other. But since they don’t have any plan, persist in maintaining the status quo even when it is clearly not working, or choose to isolate themselves in perpetuity believing, sadly, that they will be better off and content that way.
This book will give you powerful tools and important tips that you can follow to ensure that you are the real deal in terms of creating a unique retirement package targeted not for everyone
; but individually suited just for you and your specific needs as a unique individual. Let us not make excuses about why we can’t have a happy retirement as there really are none. People who come up with tired excuses and reasons why they can’t be happy or can’t be successful or can’t possibly have a meaningful and satisfying relationship with their loved ones and so on don’t really believe in themselves in the sense that they just have to come up with something to prolong their misery and denial. Day in day out, real men and women who are in retirement right now are enjoying all the cream of the proverbial ice in that they enjoy everything while others sit back and think about how life is unfair, unfulfilling or how everyone has abandoned them.
While it is true that life isn’t always fair and that sometimes, even the best of us can be dealt a bad hand, this book stands to serve as a practical guide towards actively confronting many of the difficult and challenging issues that retirees face. It is not a denial that challenges exist; rather, it is an affirmation of them.
My goal is writing this book is to demonstrate that there is a path towards personal satisfaction and happiness in retirement. Its goal is to ensure that we are maximizing the enormous value of time that we have been allotted in this special period in our lives. It wasn’t so long ago in fact, that for many people, living past 50 or even 40 years of age was considered ancient
and strange!
Getting everything said and done is one of the craziest things that people really don’t know and quite frankly, frequently don’t have a clue about. So very often, the first step, the step of realizing that we need a plan moving ahead, is very often the hardest step and certainly the most critical.
For many people
