STRANGER INTENTIONS is a collection of horror flash fiction stories written by author Dede Sanchez of varying themes.
In “You” we experience the psychological downward spiral of a woman from the perspective of her stalker. We follow her as she follows the descent.
In “Eighteen” a recently liberated eighteen-year-old girl trying to get as far away from her hellish home life as possible learns why hitchhiking may not be such a good idea.
In “Manhunt in Wonderland,” Carmen is convinced by her friend Kaarina to attend an enigmatic Halloween party. Despite her better judgment she attends, and things soon take a turn for the worst.

Dede Sanchez is a writer from the east coast with a penchant for horror and a belief that stories are all around us. Her short story titled “Two Beds” was published in the Scarlet Leaf Review’s August 2018 online issue. She self-published a collection of horror flash fiction on Smashwords titled “Stranger Intentions.” She was lead singer/ co-songwriter for a small local rock band called Audubon on the Corner (2014-2016). She has her BFA in Creative Writing For Entertainment from Full Sail University. (May 2020).

We must have passed each other every night. You, leaving your job for the night. Insomnia riddled me, taking my nightly stroll, my way of keeping my own demons at bay. I barely registered you on my radar. Another faceless being stalking those nocturnal streets.

Fate brought us together one evening. Our shoulders brushed, our eyes locked, and I was yours forevermore. You spared no smile or apology, you simply left me standing there, a simpering fool. Because in those fleeting moments when our eyes met, I saw in you something beautiful. Embers crackling inside your eyes. Licking away at the fringes of your sanity. The beginnings of a spectacular inferno that would burn all those who dared stand in your path. I needed to witness all that splendor. Yearned to burn in that blaze.

I resolved to follow you that night, and every night since.
