In 1958, emissaries from a stellar confederation land in America with the offer to Earth of joining their organization.

In 1962, a fifth, and maybe final, mission is sent to the homeworld of the confederation.  The five-person crew reach the homeworld only to find it in the midst of a war with an unknown race.  

Now the Earthpeople need to find their missing crewmates, and try to help resolve this conflict, if possible.
