Greg Paprocki works full-time as an illustrator and book designer. He has illustrated several Curious George books, as well as previous books in the Little Leonardo series, the BabyLit alphabet book series, and The Big Book of Superheroes for Gibbs Smith. Greg resides in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Introduction
Here is something that everyone knows: Robots are cool! But what is a robot, exactly? Robots come in all different shapes and do all sorts of different jobs. A robot could be a machine that mows a lawn or cleans the pool. A robot might be a drone, flying high in the sky. Some robots can dive into the ocean, or even volcanoes. Others can go into outer space. Right now, there is even a robot with wheels on Mars.
Here are some basic robot types:
Programmed robots do one job over and over.
Mobile robots can move around.
Remote-controlled robots are run by humans.
Independent robots can move and think on their own.
Androids are robots that look and act like humans.
A robot does not need to look like a person. Even so, a robot can be like a person. A robot is made of lots of different parts, like you are. It even has a computer inside to help it think. That computer is like your brain.
