Kelly Knarr lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and mother. She received her bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and her master’s degree in Science in Leadership. She is working on her Ph.D. at Grand Canyon University. After she was in a car accident that left her unable to walk for almost a year.     Shh! Who Is There?

    My husband Randy, my mother Susan, and myself live in a semi-quiet neighborhood.  We moved into the house at the end of November.  We have been here for a whole year. In that year we have been through a lot, some good and some not too good – almost tragic.

    Wouldn’t you agree, mom? I asked jokingly. 

    When we bought the white-sided house, we hurried to move in so we could have the Christmas holiday in the house.  During the moving process, I was out of town for two weeks in the sunny state of Florida.  Mom and Randy did most of the annoying moving. Many thoughts raced through my head while they were moving my stuff, like, When I was back home, would I be able to find anything.  I can be crazy with my stuff. It needs to be in a specific place. 

    So, I got home the second week of December. We still had things between two homes, but we decided to stay at the new house.  We had made one long trip a day to the old house to bring things to the new house. What a chore! Randy and I both worked full time, not to mention I went to school full time. Christmas had been right around the corner and there was still much to do. We needed to get the living quarters in order for guests, along with decorating
