Julie is a Political Science Professor at a Mid-Western College. She finds herself alone in the kitchen, at a wild party, she is the only one watching the baseball game. But her life is about to change.

Tina comes into the kitchen where Julie is half watching the game. Tina strikes up a conversation, and she soon has Julie drooling all over herself to find out more about her.

Julie learns that the object of her desire, is with a really tough dyke, Yvonne. There is bad blood between Julie and Yvonne and when words get heated, Julie leaves before a fight starts.

Julie, is really depressed, despite having found out about Tina that she is spending another Friday night alone. Then she remembers an old girlfriend from her past, a real sub type. Against her better judgement Julie has Crystal come over. They start up right where they left off several years before. Crystal on her knees begging for Julie to treat her rough.

Crystal didn't really solve Julie's depression, but did help build her confidence to go after what she wanted. She knew a great hunting ground in the City. Wannabe Lez country. At a Lesbian Political rally, Julie meats Janine, and in short order has conquered the once ice princess from the suburbs and leave Janine's fancy apartment with a great taste in her mouth. Now to win over Tina.

Confidently, Julie takes Tina to lunch, starts her seduction, that leads to dinner and later some relief from depression as she realizes she has stopped pushing too hard and finally found her girl. Her mid-life crisis has been averted.

    Julie fell in love the bottom of the ninth inning. She was at a World Series Party bored with all the chatter, sitting alone in the kitchen watching the first game of the World Series on a small television set. She had no serious liking for baseball she just wanted to be alone awhile.

    Three months now without Di, her little Di of the gumdrop nipples and soft belly and crazy temper. Di had thrown an unopened wine bottle at the wall, smashed the bottle to bits, white wine splashing everywhere, toppling and cracking a vase that Julie had brought back from Yucatan, and then Di had told Julie to go to hell and had stomped out on her high heels.

    What could Julie do? She had adored the little bitch to death, but Di was too much to handle. It occurred to Julie that lately all her women were too much to handle, all of them packages of intense trouble. Julie wanted peace. She was well into her forties, and she wanted a peaceful existence with a loving woman, someone who could get her mind off the stupid politics at the university.

    Julie taught political science, and the chaos in her personal life was making her hate her job. How do I make things work for me? Julie thought. Why am I watching night football? Am I pushing too hard, maybe?

    The second batter hit a home run to tie the score, and at that moment a young woman entered the kitchen, a tall brunette with a slick pageboy hairdo,
