Nobuddy took a shot at me. Nobuddy axed me where I wus frum. I tipped mah Stetson over mah eyes an loosnd mah six shooters where they wus slung mean an low ready fur action. Couldnt see a damn thing on account o that damned Stetson.

Nobuddy moved. Not a word wus said. First I figured mah reputation had got here befur me, secund I figured it wus terrer then I relised what it wus. The Swingin Door Saloon wus empty.
