There are many people who inspired me to write this book and I owe a very heartfelt thank you to all of them. The Divine worked through all of you to help me get this work finished and out to the world. To my mother for showing me the path of love. To Lauren and Emily for being such inspiring and generous mothers. To Angela for being Angela. To my father for the wisdom embedded throughout this work as a reflection of his impact on my life. To my brother, Adam, for doing what little brothers do. To my soul sisters Paula Kruger and Marie Queen for the feedback, guidance, and love. To everyone who has taught me lessons over the years, both good and bad, there is a little bit of each one of you in all of these Principles. A very special thank you to Sunny, Doolin, Kenny, Keith, and the rest of the Vero crew for the good times and the memories. Lastly, I want to thank my amazing editor, Juli Cardoni for the amazing job she did. Thank you to all of you Angels for brightening my life and ultimately empowering this work to manifest. Thank you!
Author’s Note:
I do not prescribe to any one set of fixed spiritual beliefs. If I had to put a label on what I specifically believe, I would consider myself to be an Omnist. Essentially, this means that I subscribe to the belief that every spiritual discipline and religion is a different face of the Divine. We are all souls that have our own individual relationship with the divine Creator of All. You will notice that reincarnation is a recurring theme in this work, as well as karma. These are rooted in Vedic beliefs, from which I have gleaned quite a bit of truth, however, one does not have to believe in reincarnation specifically to gain value from this book. The concept of karma, that is, the idea of cause and effect, can easily play out in just one lifetime or a million lifetimes. Whether you practice Christianity, Islam, Wicca, Judiasm, Sikhism, Taoism, Jainism, Tribal Beliefs, New Age beliefs, agnostic or even are an atheist; these Seven Principles can and will work for you.
Please note this is not a book about traditional alchemy, rather metaphorical alchemy. The 7 Principles written here should not be confused with the seven stages of alchemy (calcination, dissolution, separation, conjunction, putrefaction, fermentation, and distillation). We are not in the business of turning actual physical lead into gold, rather we are concerned with transmuting negative thoughts, feelings, and actions into positive ones. Thank you!
"You have lived upon this plane thousands of lifetimes, and you have come and gone like a fickle wind. You have lived every face, every color, every creed, every religion. You have warred and been warred upon. You have been king and servant alike. You have been sailor and captain. You have been conqueror and conquered. You have been everything there is in all of your historical understandings. Why? For the purpose of feeling, for the purpose of wisdom, for the purpose of identifying the greatest mystery of
