Good Personal Hygiene is More Important for Teen Girls
Adolescence is where you begin to lay the foundations of hygiene knowledge. Essential and basic practices such as washing hands in the right manner, brushing thrice daily, covering our mouth when sneezing or coughing should be a part of every girl's growing up lessons.
As your little girls begin to enter her teens, several changes take place in her body, which requires her hygiene practices to develop as well. Several hormonal changes may cause her to sweat and emit body odor, her hair, and skin to look greasier and such changes.
You must, therefore, teach your teen the necessity of hygiene practices. Emphasize hygiene habits such as bathing daily, brushing thrice daily, and using deodorants to keep perspiration smell way. However, it is also necessary to teach your teen girl to use the right products, ones that would not cause her tender body and skin any harm from the chemicals.
How to Teach Your Teen Daughter about Hygiene
This is the age when many changes will begin to take place in your daughter's body. This is the age where puberty sets in, and their bodies will already have a challenging time adjusting to it. First of all, openly address the issue with your daughter.
Although there is no reason to, often, teen girls are so vulnerable, and they find it embarrassing to discuss such things, such as puberty, body hair, and such personal details. Remind your daughter that this is a natural process, and those we all experience bodily changes during these years of your life.
Put your daughter at ease by sharing how you had felt when you went through puberty and other such changes. Teach the correct way to shower and scrub, the necessity to wear clean underwear, and how important it is for her health to stay as clean as
