Francis Xavier Aloisio was born on the island of Malta, but spent more than half of his life abroad, first in Peru as a missionary priest and then in England where he settled after resigning from the Church.Whilst abroad, he realised that not many people knew about the temples of Malta. On his return home, he had a strong urge to find a way to promote the unique wealth of the Maltese prehistoric and historic culture. Firstly he created a collection of paintings depicting Malta’s journey throughout history, and then he started doing his own research on the Temples of Malta and Gozo.He completed a trilogy on the temples of Malta: 'Islands of Dream,' 'The Age of Magic and Wisdom' and 'The New Temple Dreamers.' He also published 'The Maltese Temples in Paintings & Poetry' and 'Malta through the Ages,' 'The Islands of Dream Speak' and 'A Cosmic Perspective to the Maltese Temples' as a self-guide to the sites. INTRODUCTION

When I returned to Malta in 1999, after thirty years of living abroad, I started reading the many books written by Maltese and foreign authors on the prehistoric temples of Malta. I was surprised with all the research already done by many scholars, historians and archaeologists on the subject.

I noticed that all these books were very much based on an archaeological, academic or historical perspective. None of these writings gave a spiritual or metaphysical perspective to these mysterious sites. And, none gave a satisfied answer to the important questions: Who actually built these majestic structures? Why are there so many sites on these islands? What was their real purpose?

I knew that there must be a metaphysical perspective on these temples, and thus, I started my own research, and went to be a ‘spiritual archaeologists’ excavating the hidden and unknown truth about the temples.

I acknowledged that I would be going against conventional thinking but I felt strongly that there was another explanation to these temples. Nevertheless, I want to give credit to all the historians, archaeologists and scientists for the work done during the years of excavation, collecting data and writing about the temples.

Since then, I have written several books on the mysterious and mystic temples of Malta (See Appendix). All the information in my books comes from various sources: from published material, from my own research, from other people’s insights, from personal intuitive perceptions and inspirations, from Inner Knowing and Instant Clarity, and of course, from Dreams.

Dream-time, namely the space between waking and sleep, is the phase when the mind is open to greater awareness, and where one can access other dimensions. During this time, I was allowing my mind to let go and to surrender completely to my subconscious. Besides, I did receive answers to my questions by going to my Heart where I could know rather than think the answer.
