I started writing to entertain my daughter. I write stories with characters she can relate to. I use simple every day experiences for the plots that, though completely fictitious, could very well be true. My daughter provides constructive criticism. She is a little over 2 years old. I read the books to her and delete, shorten or rewrite the parts where she looks bored. She helps me choose pictures. She enjoys being involved and encourages me to write more. She asks for the stories to be read to her repeatedly and is a wonderful trial audience. Writing these ebooks serves as an excellent way for us to spend time together. The books have some big words with simple meanings. They are intended to introduce children to new words. Since my daughter Pell G helps with the editing she is officially credited in the later books in the series.

The Assignment

It was a pleasant Saturday morning. Tania was working on an assignment from school, while Mama savored a cup of tea on her swing in the balcony.

Mama, can you come to my room? I need you to look at this question I have for homework. Tania called out.

Mama was surprised. Tania rarely wanted assistance with homework. She preferred to struggle with it herself, except perhaps with Hindi. After a couple of bad grades, Tania had grudgingly acknowledged that she needed help.
