About this ebook

The Highlander's Eternal Love Part 2 (The Story Continues)

Laird Brodie Cameron was focused on keeping his clan safe during a time of uneasy peace. He had no time to marry, but without an heir, the Cameron clan is vulnerable. Taking things into her own hands, his sister Hilda blackmails the grandson of a powerful witch into casting a love spell, but rather than making Brodie fall in love, the spell searches for his true love…and pulls her through the constructs of time.

In present day New York, Emma's life had been stale for awhile, and her cynicism only grew, but it isn't until she falls through a portal and lands in Medieval Scotland that she realizes she'd put her life on hold. She's willing to give the gorgeous Highlander a chance if it means that she'll have the future with love and family that she's always wanted.

Brodie doesn't believe in the magic of love, but when he gives into his desires, the nights turn hot, and he risks losing his heart. When Emma discovers that she's pregnant, she learns that there is a way for her to go home. Will Brodie be able to put love before duty, or will he lose her, and the future she carries, forever?

    Chapter One- Emma

I didn’t join the others for dinner. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to sit at the table and not steal looks at Brodie. It was all that I could do not to lick my lips whenever I thought of him. If I was forced to sit next to him, I was liable to mount him right then and there.

What was wrong with me? I’d known the man for all of a week, and never in my life had I reacted to someone the way that I was reacting to him. Normally, that alpha male vibrato drove me insane, but he was a leader, and authority suited him. He was beautiful and dangerous, and I wanted him.

Hilda had joined me, and she didn’t ask me why we were hiding out. Instead, she was talking about her lesson plans for the next week. Slowly, she’d been trying to teach me how to fit in with the rest of the century, but it was easier said than done. During the first sewing lesson, I’d poked myself so many times that my fingers were sore, and I worried that I’d lost too much blood.

During our speech lessons, I’d quickly learned that while bloody hell was unladylike, it was better than the curse words I was used to. Hilda wasn’t happy with either one.

Yesterday, I’d tried to sneak a cat into the castle so I could cuddle with someone warm and loving, and the cook caught me and threw a fit. Her brogue was so thick that I didn’t even realize half of what she saying, but Hilda had ushered me away with a fearful look on her face. I’d been terrified to eat.

The harder I tried to fit in, the worse things got.

Annabelle is wonderful with thread, and she is making a few more dresses for you. We’ll need to see her in the morning so she can measure you again. Afterward, I was thinking that we could visit the river banks so you can learn to swim.

I know how to swim, and it’s freezing here. Why in the world would you want to go swimming? I interrupted.

We need to build yer strength, Hilda said without batting an eye. Ye will need it if ye plan on spending yer nights with Brodie.

I blushed furiously. There was no point in denying the sexual tension that simmered between Brodie and I, but I certainly didn’t want to discuss it with his sister! I’ll just do some push-ups in the morning, I muttered. How about learning to fight? Can I do that? Maybe work with one of those bow and arrows?

Before Hilda could answer, the door swung open, and Brodie walked in. His eyes glittered, and there was no misinterpreting his intent. Leave, he said sharply to Hilda while he kept his eyes on me.

The woman flashed me a knowing smile before she got up and left. When the door closed, I realized
