Introduction

This book will both inspire and encourage you to move on in the deeper things of God.

I believe that as we look at the current events surrounding us, that every believer will agree that we are definitely living in the last days. These last days, as the Bible tells us, are the final days left before the Lord returns to take His Church home with Him. After this great event of the Lord coming for His Church will begin a time in the history of this planet that will be so devastating that words cannot justly describe it. That time is called the Tribulation time and is described in both Daniel and the Book of Revelation.

However, while we, as believers, are waiting for the Lord to take us home we know the Lord still has a work for each of us to do for His glory and His witness.

He has placed a deep desire within the heart of every one of His children to do something for Him during our time here on the earth. In serving Him with all our heart, He desires that we learn how to become and practice being an overcomer in an overwhelming world.

The temptation to be overwhelmed in this world is real, but God has much more for us as we keep our focus on Him.

One of the things that we need to understand and deal with is the fact that there can be hindrances in our lives that can hinder us from continually moving on in the things of the Lord.

Many of God’s people don’t realize that these hindrances exist within their lives and are hindering them from experiencing all that the Lord has for them. Many of God’s people only know that they just can’t seem to get to the next level with God and His plan and purpose for their lives, but don’t understand why nor how to overcome.

Knowing that there can be hindrances or as I call them Tent Pegs, holding us down in our lives is a good first step. These tent pegs can in so many ways short circuit the Lord’s plan and purpose for our life. We also need to be able to identify what these tent pegs are. That, of course, comes with the help of Lord. We also need to learn how to apply biblical principles to overcome those tent pegs that are holding us down.
