    WHAT IS SIRT FOOD?

    The new magic word in the diet jungle is Sirtfood. A wide range of special foods should help you slim down, build muscle at the same time and also strengthen the immune system. Even luxury foods such as chocolate and red wine are allowed. Stilpalast reveals the secret of this trendy weight loss method. 

    The Sirtfoods are foods which, in combination with a restricted calorie intake, are supposed to influence the activity of the so-called sirtuins. Sirtuins are a group of enzymes that can affect, among other things, the metabolism, inflammatory processes and various factors of aging.

    Certain foods are particularly rich in substances that are said to increase the activity of these enzymes. The assumptions of the inventors of the sirt food diet lie in the fact that a high consumption of these sirtuin foods (short: sirt foods) has a positive influence on the metabolism and the aging of the participants. At the same time, people who eat on the basis of the sirt food diet pay attention to a calorie deficit.

    Sirtuin describes a certain protein, i.e. a protein building block. In various guides that exist on the subject of sirt food, this is also touted as a slim gene or super protein. This protein helps build muscle as well as burning fat - up to three kilos a week. And sirtuins, of which we humans have seven, do not just build muscles and fat from - they can still more: Sirtuine strengthen the immune system, protect the body from disease and inflammation and work off. They also prevent cravings and slow down the aging process. Another plus: Thanks to the many vitamins and minerals in the food, not only is the immune system pushed, you also feel healthier and fitter thanks to Sirtfood.

    HOW DOES THE SIRT FOOD DIET WORK?

    Every diet is different and each promises to drop several kilos within a short time. Unfortunately, this often involves a very one-sided diet that is anything but healthy in the long run. The Sirtfood Diet is said to be different, because it not only promises weight loss, but is supposed to be healthy and keep the user young and fresh. So what more do you want?

    While the famous low-carb diet is full of proteins and excludes carbohydrates, the latest weight loss cure focuses on sirtuins. These are enzymes in the body that, through their special activity, namely the reduction in the production of free radicals, protect the cells in the body from stress. If the body absorbs enough sirtuins from food, they also burn fat.

    The advantage:  Sirtuins are contained in a number of many foods and beverages, including luxury foods, and thus enable a varied diet that is not very restrictive. The only task during this diet is to eat as many foods as possible that are rich in said sirtuins.

    The crux of this method is therefore not the sparse choice of dishes, but rather the total amount of calories that are allowed per day: In the first three days of the diet, there are just 1,000 calories a day (mainly vegetables), after that 1,500 per day. In the long run, the sirtuin-rich foods should be included in the menu as often as possible to keep the weight and not fall prey to the yo-yo effect. Healthy drinks in the form of green smoothies are also part of the conscious diet.

    The 3 phases of the Sirtfood Diet

    The sirt food diet is divided into three phases. In order to detoxify the body and prepare the metabolism for the change in diet and weight loss, you start with a daily calorie intake of 1000 kilocalories in the form of juices.

    The first phase is to reprogram the metabolism to lean. This works, for example, with sirtuin-rich green juices that detoxify the body. That means: 1000 calories a day in the form of three juices and a main meal. In the second phase, the number of calories is increased to 1500. For example: two healthy juices, two main dishes. And phase three is used to stabilize the new weight; there are still many sirt foods on the menu, but more calories again.

    Phase 1:  1000 kcal daily. Three green juices and a main meal, all rich in sirtuin foods. The body is programmed to lose weight. This first phase should last three days. Juices from sirtuin-containing foods such as arugula, apples, celery or parsley as well as an additional main meal are on the menu list.

    Phase 2:  The first and most difficult phase has been completed. In phase two, the calorie intake is increased to 1500 calories. There are now two green juices and two main meals a day. Two juices and two main meals from sirtuin-rich foods are consumed during this time. However, the miracle ingredients are also combined with other normal foods in order to slowly get used to it again. Once the desired weight has been reached, this phase can be ended.

    Phase 3: In the third or maintenance phase, everything is actually allowed as long as you have as many sirt foods on the menu as possible and eat around 1800 calories. There are three main meals a day; this is to be consolidated with 1800 kilocalories per day. It is important to be careful not to fall into old habits and to ensure a high protein intake.

    If you want to reduce your weight, you should consistently stick to sirtuin-rich foods during the sirt food diet. You can find an overview of the most important sirt foods below - including, for example, apples, arugula, strawberries, green tea and spices such as chili or turmeric. There is also a piece of dark chocolate in it every day. Particularly practical: the slimming products not only boost fat burning, they also help build muscle. Because if you also exercise on a diet, you will achieve better results. Better not: Use fast food and the like again after the diet, otherwise the famous yo-yo effect threatens!

    Sirt food diet: You can eat these foods

    The taste does not tell you what foods Sirtuin contains - it is found in both bitter fruits and vegetables and in sweets. That is why we have created a small overview with foods that contain sirtuin:

    ›  Arugula

    Arugula or rocket not only tastes great as a salad, but also with other sirt foods to make a green smoothie. Our recipe suggestion: chop 2 handfuls of uncooked kale, 1 handful of arugula, two to three stalks of celery, half a handful of flat-leaf parsley and lovage leaves in a blender. Add half a teaspoon of matcha powder and fill with apple juice, done!

    ›  Red onions

    In combination with sirtuins, red onions are the perfect slender vegetable! Why? Like all onions, they have a certain degree of heat, which can be attributed to the high content of isoalliin. The resulting amino acid taurine causes the pituitary gland to release hormones. These accelerate fat loss.

    ›  Strawberries

    Compared to other fruits, strawberries contain little sugar (a little more than 5 g per 100 g), but plenty of fiber. These swell in the stomach and fill you up faster.

    ›  Red wine

    The polyphenol resveratrol contained in red wine (especially in Pinot Noir) activates the sirtuin enzymes in the body.

    ›  Chili

    The chilli-enhancer capsaicin increases the heat production in the body by up to 25 percent. To compensate for this rise in temperature, the body begins to sweat. That uses a lot of energy.

    ›  Olive oil

    Olive oil contains valuable unsaturated fatty acids. The oil also has a high phenol content, which boosts fat burning. Rule of thumb: the more natural the aromatic oil, the greater the slimming power.

    ›  Walnuts

    Vitamin B 6, which is largely contained in walnuts, improves concentration, makes you more alert and prevents cravings.

    ›  Coffee and green tea

    Both coffee and green tea ensures that the metabolism is in full swing. Some studies even show that caffeine also increases fat burning.

    ›  Dark chocolate
