THE PUDGY PUPPY

There was a little puppy who was born on a farm,

He was furry and soft, and oh so warm!

He was born only days ago, his eyes still shut,

I don’t know what breed he is - I guess he’s a mutt!

His fur was dark brown, with patches of white,

And after a few days, his eyes were open and bright!

He didn’t walk around or want to play,

He only stayed with his mama and ate all day!

As time went on, he ate more and more,

So much so, he couldn’t fit through the doggy door!

When he got to be six weeks, he needed real food,

So we brought him to the store, but he wasn’t in the mood.

We went back home and then went for a walk,

I carried him in my arms and he listened to me talk.
