Chapter 1

A Church Survival Guide for Church: 52 Things You Should Know

So you have escaped the Kingdom of Darkness, and made it into the Kingdom of Light. Congratulations! Heaven is rejoicing over your decision to give your life to the Lord according to Luke 15:10 KJV. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the  presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repenteth. Your purpose in the kingdom of God is about to be revealed, but the sad and disappointing news that I must report is that the movement from where you are to where you are going will not be without some difficulties.

Many new Christians have the idea that joining your new church and sharing your new found faith will be a  cakewalk of simple solitude and religious bliss. You must first understand that as a new believer in Christ and a part of a new assembly of the Church, you are now fighting against the Kingdom of Darkness, which is an enemy of the Kingdom of Light. Like any spy novel, the church has double-agents and covert operations.

The church from the outside is seen by many with a view that all people who attend the church are good. The church is supposed to be a body of believers who practice the principles of the word of God. But even though we are the body of Christ, there are those who do not display Christian character within the church.

In the book of Job, the scriptures declare that the sons of God came to present themselves to him, but Satan came along with them. That took place in heaven, so just imagine what can take place in the church. All of the people that go to church do not have the same GOD agenda that you have. Many new Christians start out well in their new church home, on fire for God and ready to change the world for good, only to quickly run into a stumbling block that douses their fire, discourages their heart, and perplexes their mind.
