About this ebook

In life I have discovered one great thing that pushes the will of human beings to go and do the impossible, and that is something called passion, and out of it, my thoughts ran wild, and my experience curved out truth about it all. And out of passion did I learn about this great ability that we all possess within us. And I learned how to use it, and I am still learning how to use it, and how it has helped me in my various walks of life. I have learned of its ways, of its hiding place, of its personality and of its character, and how it is to be compared with many other things that surrounds us in this life. Knowing about how to use your passions is perhaps one of the greatest achievements one can ever have, for with passion, you will find yourself elevated in places in your life you never thought you would ever reach. Enjoy this book, feed on its words, and remember it as long as you live, but most of all, I did not write this so you can just read it, I wrote it so that you can apply it in your life.

The Art of Passion - Shadrack Midenyo

    The Art of Passion

    THE ART OF PASSION

    Shadrack Midenyo

    Chapter 1: Origin of Passion

There is something in all of us,

    something extraordinary,

an exclusive potentiality that was thrust upon us,

which leaps about, when we suffer for the things

that we truly love, and that thing is passion.

It is pure, we have a body, a spirit and a soul,

but if the soul had its own spirit,

perhaps passion would be its suitable name,

things that come from our mind are essential,

but the things that flow out of our hearts are quintessential,

the heart is a wild and fragile frontier,

tamed by the government of our mind,

and passion also looms around its premises,

and it is one of the many things

that our minds can trust to let it see the light in our days.

I do not know where passion came from,

or how it is birthed, but passion is a child of fate,

and passion has been cradled with luck,

but those who find it, they have found

one of the greatest gems in life, that to others,

it is as if they have found themselves.

Some are born with it, these are the luckiest of all,

and usually, these people discover it as quickly

as they discover the art of speaking,

and if they harness the times of their youths,

they might end up living the rest of their lives

    doing what they love doing.

    Some become apprentices to passion,

by which, their ancestors or parents

who wield their sufferings in the name of love,

reflect that joy in their children’s live,

setting the young hearts to continue their legacy,

so they can carry that warm joy they saw their predecessors bear.

Some find it by learning something new,

by challenging themselves and finding how far they can go,

or by fathoming themselves in adventure of sorts,

until something in them sorts itself or sorts them,

so they know of what sort they are from.

Some find passion by tracing themselves

back to where they came from,

seeing the past, and unfolding it,

until their future begins to prophecy a meaning in them,

they will look at their roots,

and out of that, they will grow and embrace

a fuel out of the old fossils,

in which will blaze in a fire called passion.

Some will find passion in a fortune

which was so deeply hidden in misfortune,

they will be overcome by a calamity

or a dilemma or an altered event,

by which then, gladness will overcome their hearts,

and they will become new creatures,

    and leave that misfortune knowing

it was the most fortunate event

to ever misfortunately approached them in their lives.

Some will find it in pain,

and what a passion will that be,

for one who finds passion in the most painful of events,

is a person of pure passion indeed,

for it is through depression, pain, suffering,

that many great things have surfaced

like a lily in a muddy valley.

However, it is impossible to live without passion,

    even a dead
