Poetry Is an Art - David Austin

    Austin.

I had a dream the other night

Where I woke up in a fright,

You and I were waiting there

Our hands were clasped you looked despaired,

The nurse and Doctor standing near

    Holding something small and dear,

Made my heart beat quick as thunder

A boy or girl was not determined

But the Lord has blessed our persons.

    My heart begins to escalate

I woke up in a violent sweat

    Reality hit I had regrets.

I only wish that you could see

How pure a love could truly be,

My dreams an example of what I mean

Where we had made a family!!

    Have turned away from me.

That’s why I try and write my feelings

    In my poetry.

    I barely write my letters

    With
