About this ebook

‘I Want to Go to Goa’ is a collection of fun poems for older children who have good reading skills or for parents to read to younger children. The poems are all about travel and visiting different countries, and cities, around the world.

I want to go to Goa
I want to see the sea
I’ll sit on the beach
On my chair made of beech
And drink many cups of tea
I will sing the songs that we sang at school
Do cartwheels and act the fool
Should a witch arrive upon her broom
Which witch would that be?
The good witch or the bad
The scary or the sad
Whichever witch is was
I think I would flee becuz
Because doesn’t rhyme…

    Whichever witch is was

I think I would flee becuz

    Because doesn’t rhyme

Yep, I’d flee like a flea

    Hopping and bopping

And jumping as high as the sky

    But really, you know

    That there is no room

No room at all for a witch in Goa

So I’ll sit by the sea

    Drinking cups of tea

And being as happy as I can be

    I will keep an eye

    On the waves and tide

And leave before I get drenched

I will buy some sweets and some swedes

Which the sweet and swede seller has brought

    Right down to the shore

A strange combination, to be sure!
