Dedication:
This volume is dedicated to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; without whom it would not have been possible. Sandra and Leigh believe He has been the source of our lives and the inspiration for each word included herein.
Sandra: I would acknowledge the help of my husband Jim and our sons, Andrew and Christopher; who have given me the time and space needed to be in God’s word and to write the words that Jesus has given me.
I wish to thank God for the friendship and love of my Sister-in-love, Leigh. She has edited, typed and formatted this book from our thoughts, prayers, conversations and poetry.
I also would thank the members of our church and extended family. Because of their prayers we have been able to serve Christ more fully. They have served as our safety net in rocky places and encouragement in the Way.
Leigh: I wish to honor my dear friend, Sandra, without whom I would not have embarked on the journey this book has taken me on. She has been a prayer warrior on my behalf and I on hers for many years. Though we have never been face to face, I love her as my own flesh and daily give thanks to God for her and her family.
I also wish to thank God for my other Sisters-in-love; Betty Wiltse, Betty Tracy and Sharon Lomo. These dear ladies are my friends, prayer partners and support network. The Cover Photo is from my personal collection
Dear Lord, we ask Your blessings on each and every person mentioned herein, by name or implication, that they would have all that they needs met and the desires of their hearts - in Your will - given. In Jesus’ name; AMEN!
Welcome to Heartwork:
The purpose of this volume is to provide a book of inspirational poetry that will move your heart, inspire your spirit and lead you to wanting a deeper walk with Jesus, our Lord.

Psalms 27:14
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Heartwork
Total assurance and confidence
In Him I place my trust
I serve a risen Savior
By His power we ALL must
Stay in His Word
Remember His promises
Of hope, love and life
He brings us out
Of our worries and strife
Stay focused and committed
For in Christ is the only way
To fully live successfully
By and in
His heart I will stay!

Acts 14:16-18 NIV
In the past, he let all nations go their own way. Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy." Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
The Heart
We carry around an organ
That responds, reacts and feels
When we inhale its working
As we excel it releases
Emotions that leave us speechless
Weary of sometimes trying again
Exhausted from plowing through rough roads
We trudge on seeking a glimmer of light
The hope that we have in Christ
Who will illuminate the path to follow
We can yearn and anticipate again
For our hearts are renewed
Restored by Your words
Promises that assure us
Verses that secure us a future
Scripture that heals
Words that deliver
All from our King who eternally reigns!

2 Corinthians 3:2-4
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God.
