Poems
Always You
The trees were lacking their beautiful green foliage –
The naked branches were crying for
a bit of sunshine.
Just like the trees were crying,
begging for the rebirth of their foliage –
My soul filled with melancholy
was also crying for what was left behind.
Below, the streets were becoming
smaller and smaller through my tears.
Prague, the beautiful old city –
disappeared at last, out of sight.
More over, when I closed my eyes,
I discovered -
That not every thing
was left behind.
No, forevermore I brought with me…
Deeply seeded in the pupil of my eyes,
dressed in a beige gabardine,
and a pair of blue jeans
the figure of my man-
Tonight
My anxious body moves beneath the blanket.
The light I have turned off, but I cannot sleep. I have extended an arm to turn on the small lamp,
Immediately, my eyes move to locate him.
Yes, he is there –
His picture hangs on the white wall.
I cannot avoid it.
I get up slowly to touch him.
My lips are kissing now the cold glass –
And when I kiss his nose, eyes and forehead,
A warm heat takes over my body.
I returned to bed quietly –
Bringing with me his image embedded in my retinas.
My heart tells me –
"You will always love him as much as you
