Gryst and Grumble
Gryst and Grumble, a gargoyle pair
Lived their lives high up in the air
Ugly as sin, they had weepy-weezly eyes
Great gnomish ears and warty chins
It was enough to make folks stop and stare
But Gryst and Grumble didn’t care
For gargoyles aren’t meant to be pretty
Fixed fast to a roof
They were going nowhere
And consequently had no cares
They were wise and witty
All day long they’d play the fool
And tease each other
They’d pun and rhyme
And rap in perfect time
Those gargoyle dudes knew they were cool
Down on the ground
Folks were amazed by the sound
Of rapping and rhyming gargoyles
They snapped their fingers and tapped their feet
And got right in to the beat
So if you ever pass their way
And you hear a whisper
And you hear someone say
‘I do believe those gargoyles talked’ Look up! Look up!
For Gryst and
