Chapter One – Congratulations

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face, the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it: and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelations 20:11-15 (emphasis mine)    

You may not know it.  But the truth is that you have just been delivered from evil.  The greatest evil that can befall a man is to stand before God in that judgement without favour.  The moment an individual’s name is not found in the book of life, he has a direct passage into the lake of fire.

Therefore let me congratulate you beloved.  The decision you made to give your life to Jesus Christ is the greatest decision you have ever made in life.  In fact you are specially blessed.

The meaning of that decision is that you realize that you were a sinner.  You believe that you could not save yourself.  You know that God loves you so much.  And that He had made an arrangement for your freedom.  He sent His son Jesus Christ to save you.  His blood accomplished the remission for your sins.

As a result of these things your sins are blotted away.  He took your place on the cross and paid the penalty for your sins.  The good news is that you won’t have to suffer for those sins again.
