.Chapter 1- The Ministry Of Angels

ANGELS are God creations, they are spirit beings created to do the words that God commanded. They are more intelligent, have more power, might and strength than man, that is why King David said in Psalm 8:5 …For you have made him a little lower than the angels the angels are invisible but their presence can be felt. Angels are benevolent celestial intermediaries between God and man. Angels exist but if you don’t believe in them you may not enjoy their ministry; some pastors hardly preach on the existence of angels. I didn’t realised their important activities initially even though I know they exist until God Himself spoke to me about their services to human kind.

Eliazer, the senior servant of father Abraham believed in their guidance which is one of their duties, that was why he prayed and God brought the answer to him immediately – the angel of service brought Rebekah to the well and she was the suitable bride for Isaac. Abraham have committed the journey of his loyal servant to God and asked Him to send His angel before him. In Genesis 24:7 Abraham prayed and said;

"The Lord God of heaven who took me from my father’s house and who spoke to me and swore saying ‘To your descendants I give this land, He will send His angel before you and you shall take a wife for my son from there

Angels are to minister to human because this is the purpose in which they are created, Hebrew 1:14 says "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minster for those who will inherit salvation? Henceforth I want to encourage us to please be angels conscious and not demon conscious, many believers believed so much in the existence and activities of demons more than the angels, that is why they have too much of demonic attack. Apart from angels that minister to us when we call them for assistance, God assigns two angels - Goodness and Mercy to follow us always anywhere we go. King David recognised this fact that is why he wrote in Psalm 23:6:

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me. All the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever, Amen.

ANGELS ARE IN RANK, POSITION AND SERVICE

1. Some angels have specific names such as Archangel Michael who is mentioned many times in the Bible.

In Daniel 10:12 -13 the angel told Daniel ….Do not fear Daniel for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humble yourself before your God, your word were heard and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persian withstood me twenty one days and behold, Michael one of the chief princes came to help for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persian

"Yet Michael the archangel in contending with the devil when he disputed about the body of Moses dared bot bring him against him reviling accusation but said The Lord rebuke you! Jude 9

"And war broke up out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought with the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought but did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer" Revelation 12:7-9

Archangel Michael is the great captain, the leader of the heavenly hosts and the commander in Chief of the Lord’s army. As a warrior he is in charge of the warring angels. These set of angels fight for the word of God to prevail at all times; the warring angels were the one that God sent to pass judgement to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis
