About this ebook

Forget about everything you have learned about craps strategy, especially the part about only placing bets below the 2% house edge. In theory staying below the 2% house edge should be the way to bet. It’s the safe, logical way but not the winning way. I know this because I used to bet this way. I’m sure you are using this strategy as well. After all this is the predominant strategy you find in books and online. The fact that you’re entertaining the purchase of a book on strategy tells me the 2% edge has failed you as well.
So what changed my mind? Simply that I found myself on the losing end of just about every session I played. When I did win my session the profit was minimal.
My love of the game kept me coming back even though I was a loser. Through it all I revised my strategy many times until I developed the strategy I use today and have used successfully for the past twenty-five years. That’s correct, a winner every year for the past twenty-five. Not a winner every session, rather a winner every year.

As far back as I can remember, even as a youth I had an interest in gambling. It started when I was 5 years old, my baby sitter taught me and my older brother how to play draw poker. My dad enjoyed his Friday night poker game with the neighbors. When he hosted the game every other month I would stay up and watch them play until I couldn't keep my eyes open, falling asleep in my chair. I really enjoyed watching them.Just realizing as I write this bio, my first recollection of playing any form of craps was at the age of 7 or 8. My aunt introduced me to a game she called "society craps". This was played with a deck of cards with the aces and kings removed, dice and a whole bunch of pennies. These are fond memories from my youth. As I became a teen many of my friends had an interest in betting on the ponies and football. I was more interested in poker and blackjack. It was my interest in the later that got me to Las Vegas in 1975 where I was first introduced to casino craps. It was as if the dice had cast a spell on me because ever since that day my main focus, other than my family and career is craps. As a competitive person I not only learned everything I could but needed to figure out how to beat the game. It was a long journey of time and money. I finally figured out how to give myself the best chance of winning on a regular basis and I now offer it to you in my first book.

    Preface

My first encounter with craps was in 1975 during a vacation to Las Vegas. I observed a bunch of guys standing around the craps table having the time of their lives. Although I knew nothing about the game, my feeling at the time was craps is going to be a big part of my future.

I have read many books on craps strategy. A large majority of them instructs the player to place bets with the lowest house advantage, generally below the range of a 2% house edge. The rationale behind the strategy is if the casino's advantage is this low it affords you the player the best chance of winning. They also advise you to stay clear of all bets that heavily favor the house or in other words those with a low percentage of you winning. In theory this advice appears to be sound. Unfortunately when this theory is put into practice during live play it fails miserably. Why it fails and the alternative strategy will be explained later.

The fact is if you follow their misguided strategy every casino manager in the country will be your friend. Not only will you never beat the casino on a regular basis, you will likely lose regularly. You are practically guarantying the casino will beat you. Although it is mathematically true these 2% wagers have a better chance of connecting in your favor than do bets above the 2% range, the problem is the payout or profit on each of these winning bets is so low it makes it difficult to turn an overall profit by day's end. These wins will not cancel out all the losses you will have in a given session, leaving you short of a profit. Profit is what I'm all about and should be your only goal as well.

I have learned from my experience at the table this low house advantage betting system is a defensive betting system. My interpretation is, let's try not to lose too much money. But in the end after playing for hours which is the norm at the craps table, at least for me, you will become a big loser. I find it necessary to drive this point home so I will repeat this message many more times as you read on. When you only place bets
