A Brief History of the Unicorn Pancerino
Not many people know, but high in the heavens, alongside billions and billions of stars, live unicorns. Their role is to watch over newborn babies like guardian angels. Every single child is protected by a magical unicorn.
One night, one of the unicorns decided to go down to earth to see what his little one was doing.
It took a few hours but the unicorn finally reached the infant’s home. Looking around carefully to make sure that no one saw him, the unicorn made his way into the baby's room through the window. When he looked into the crib, his curiosity was rewarded: never in his life had he seen such a beautiful baby girl. She looked just like a porcelain doll. The unicorn was so proud to be the guardian of this lovely child that, without even worrying about being seen, he lay down next to the cradle and fell asleep...
You can only imagine, my dear readers, just how stunned her parents were when they came into the room for the baby’s nighttime feeding and saw the majestic unicorn in the nursery!
The father tried to tie a rope around the unicorn so he could lead it to a stable, thinking that some of his buddies had played a particularly bad joke on him, while the mother picked up her baby, who was sleeping peacefully, and went outside to call for help. The unicorn, feeling suddenly in danger, started to rear up on his hind legs. His eyes grew fiery red and his white coat turned pitch black.
Terribly angry, but not wanting to hurt anyone, the unicorn managed to get away. Once outside, and seeing the baby in her mother's arms, he looked around for a place to hide… but didn’t know where to go.
