Knowing Our God - Stephanie Manchulenko

    KNOWING OUR GOD

Sometimes we find ourselves wondering: What is life all about?

Why are we here? What is the meaning of life?

This little book has the answer.

God has created us in His Image

to have a personal relationship with Him.

Throughout the bible, scripture reveals that we can

Know Our God intimately as; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Salvation through Christ Jesus is the answer!

    Foreword

Many times I have had Jehovah’s Witnesses knock on my front door and in 1983 a couple from that faith moved in next door to us. I have always felt sad that they go door to door with bibles in their hands to spread the word that they feel is the truth, but have a misguided belief in who our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is, which is the main thing we need to believe to be saved.

I had several visits with this couple trying to witness to them of what my view of the gospel is, but I would always leave frustrated and very drained.

I had read many books about witnessing to Jehovah’s Witnesses but they were not interested to hear anything or take any literature that wasn’t from the Watchtower organization.

A thought came to me that I believe must have come from the Lord, that maybe, if I wrote something that I had researched and written myself they might read it. I had only known the Lord for about five years at the time so I felt that whatever came to me was probably from Him.

Their main difference from the mainstream Christian denominations is unbelief in the Trinity of God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit. They maintain that the word Trinity is not in the bible and this is true; it is not in the bible. I have discovered though, that the three persons of the Godhead are all revealed throughout the Old and New Testaments and so in about 1983 I searched and cross-referenced many verses in the scriptures that show that all Three are involved in many aspects of creation. To name just a few: All Three were involved in creation, All Three are called God and All Three dwell in us.

There is One True God revealed in the three persons of the Godhead and we can know Him and it is my hope that anyone who reads the scripture correlations in this little book would find that we can be as close to Him as calling Him Abba Father which means Daddy, denoting a very close, personal relationship with Him.

Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, Abba! Father!

    AMEN

    Introduction

We can personally know the God who created us.

This is a compilation of Scriptures, correlated to help you understand the gospel of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Scriptures, the most valuable resources the world affords, are taken from The NASB Translation.

These Lively Oracles of God are God’s wisdom.

We only need to ask Him for the ability to understand His Word and He WILL give it to us.

    Knowing Our God

Our great, omnipotent, omnipresent and wonderful God created everything. However, human beings are special, made in His image and placed above the rest of creation, to fellowship with God beside whom there is no other god.

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. (Isaiah 44:6)

This world, which would be wonderful indeed if man had not made such a mess of everything, was created by all three members of the Godhead.

In this little book, many scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments have been collated to demonstrate that God has revealed Himself in Scripture as three eternal hypostases, or persons, existing in one Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

The Father was Involved in Creation

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)

Then the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, "I, the Lord,
