Hill view. Afternoon.

Overlooking a regatta. The sun glinting making sails blur and water shimmer.

To a picnic in progress. Hazy warm images. Making this a memory. A younger Preacher with dirty blond hair no longer platinum. No round blue lenses. Hands fixing him a plate. Fried chicken leg and thigh. His favourite. Potato salad. Coleslaw. Pouring him a spritzer.

There was laughter.

Sun bouncing off around the two. Affection. A face with short black hair nuzzled against his. There was love.

The sound of ocean surf replaced. Abrupt.

With an Angelic Chorus singing out. Through a gentle salt-laden breeze, a lace curtain fluttered revealing the naked form of Jet shedding the last piece of clothing. The androgynous figure moving forward to Preacher waiting in their bed. Fresh skin against cotton. Face to admiring face. Flesh pressed hungry.

Followed a flash of sky.

Jet hid behind shades, two blue round lenses. Jet's body awash in pleasure under a Sycamore. Jet had straddled Preacher. They made love. Consummated. Linked and joined intertwined forever in a moment. A memory. Eternal.
