About this ebook
When I hold her, she blushes.
When I kiss her, she melts into my arms.
When I touch her, she answers with the same fire, just for moments later to run away.
She tells me she's busy, but I know it's more than that.
I'm being avoided.
Flowers and a note sat on her desk, but I am not one to give up. I will find out what hides behind her contradictory gestures, but first, we have an artefact to collect.
An easy job!
Or so I thought...
Join Chance and Scarlett as they face their first relationship trial, and not only...

For a Chance - Andreea Pryde

I COULD SEE HER FOR who she is just fine during her ‘visits,’ but now, having her in front of my eyes, I lose all reason. I’d wish to keep her entirely for myself, but it’s frowned upon in this modern world she lives in; in this modern world where I woke up after my long slumber.
I could bask all day in the light of her eyes, the warmth of her smile, and the sweetness of her lips. I could run my fingers through her long hair, caress her soft skin, worship her body with an ode of touches and kisses meant to bring her to the highest peaks; peek at her brilliant mind and listen to her voice, sipping every word and waiting with great patience for my name to roll off her lips—a sound sweeter than honey. I can’t imagine loving someone more than this, yet she seems to avoid me.
Leaning my head against the door frame and folding my arms to my chest, I looked at the beautiful woman in front of me, incapable of imagining life without her in my arms. Her figure, perfect to me, stretched to place books back on their shelves while balancing on a three-legged stool. She insisted on reorganising the museum’s library.
Scarlett, how about you take a break?
I spoke softly, but my voice took her by surprise, causing her to lose balance. I got to her just in time, and catching her by the waist, I pulled her in my arms. I made us some tea, and I finished looking over the museum’s registers,
I said, smiling at her confused look, holding her close to my chest and feeling through the clothes, the roundness of her breasts. She didn’t say a word, just kept looking deeply into my eyes with her lips slightly parted. Colour crept up her skin, flushing her cheeks, and with the tip of her tongue, she wet her lower lip, unconsciously inviting me to taste their sweetness. And how could I resist? For the hunger I felt reached its limits the second she fell into my arms. I pressed my lips hard over hers, and for a second, I thought I might’ve been too forceful, but my fear dissipated when her hands rocketed around my neck and rooted in my hair, pulling me even closer. She bit my lip, then softly sucked on it; drew its contour with the tip of her tongue, just to meet mine halfway. I couldn’t get enough, and her actions mirroring my burning desire only made my trousers feel painfully tight. Soon, we were both gasping for air, but
