A Saturday Like Any Other
It was a Saturday like any other, nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Henry got out of bed at exactly 8:30 in the morning, took a warm, relaxing shower, shaved, and then proceeded downstairs for a hearty breakfast, dressed in nothing but his underwear. As he sat by the kitchen counter, warm toast in hand, he glanced at his phone, the guardian of his routine.
While he considered himself an extremely well-organized person, he wasn’t much for remembering things on his own. His short-term memory was just atrocious, so he left it all at the hands of technology. The daily planner reminded him of everything that was important, and nothing was ever added to it that didn’t qualify.
It was his day off from work, so there were fewer entries than usual waiting to be read. The first was a note about the last game in the basketball play-offs. The second simply said: Call Lisa.
