Lee E. Cart is an award-winning author, editor, and publisher for Ek' Balam Press. Her first novel, Born in the Wayeb, was a winner in the 17th Annual International Latino Book Awards, which celebrates worldwide achievements in Latino literature. Ms. Cart lives in central Maine, but lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for over seven years as a child. The time spent in Mexico created a deep love for the Mexican people and their various cultures.
