    A Bagel Love Affair

    Over the years, I’ve made a lot of bagels. Seriously: a lot of bagels. And that includes both my personal life (as a bagel fan and home baker) as well as a professional baker and food writer, contributing bagel features for food magazines, in print as well as online and newspapers. In fact, my first bagel feature was way back when, for the New York Times. I pitched a piece on Montreal bagels (and why I think they are better or different than New York bagels). Somehow I convinced my skeptical New York Times food editor at the time to take the story. They published my story, along with some photos
